I stopped wearing my fitbit. I found that it was inaccurate during my workouts especially. I did the exact same elliptical workout every day and the burn would vary 200-300 calories sometimes. Overnight oats 1/2 cup dry oats 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder of choice 1 cup-ish liquid of choice let sit overnight and enjoy cool, chocolate oats! Besides that I enjoy Special K protein cereal, or a huge omelet made with 6 egg whites and 1 whole egg with bits of leftover meat and veggies from previous meals.

I could eat a buffet for breakfast after I lift if i had no restraint. Breakfast is the hardest meal for me to limit.

I take protein bars to snack on until I get to the destination (depending how long) but once I'm there I just log as best I can without measuring cups or a scale. Has always turned out fine in the past!

Perhaps view 'eating back' calories as a way that you keep yourself on track. If you're too rigid and restrictive all the time and resist treats like that then you could be at risk at falling off the wagon long term. If there are coaches available at your gym or an equipment trainer I'd ask them to check your form on the machine. If something is off that could be causing pain.

My college coffee joint finally added calories to their menu. I was pleasently surprised by some things. I think adding calorie counts can increase business in some cases, especially if the restaurant has 'nothing to hide' per se.

I work at a subway so I eat a 6" carved turkey sub on wheat flatbread with honey mustard, spinach, and lettuce 5 x a week. It's free, and it fits my calories nicely! Besides that, I'll eat out 1-2x a week if my family wants to.
