I agree. I am 5’5” and when I was a young, dumb college sophomore I thought those “small and sedentary” descriptions applied to me. I walked everywhere and went to the gym everyday. Yeah, they didn’t. I lost 20 pounds, but I couldn’t maintain it. I had brain fog and was starving all the time. It didn’t take long for me to…

Have you tried increasing your calories just a bit? Maybe there is a happy point between 1700 and 2400. Calculators also give me 1700 calories, but I just can’t stick to it. But if I make my goal 1800, for some reason that extra 100 calories feels like enough.

Another note: intermittent fasting is not great for nursing mothers and neither is keto. I’m nursing an 18 month old right now and I have no idea what my burn is. I have my calories set to lightly active because I seem to burn somewhere between the lightly active and active setting. It can be frustrating to figure out.

I logged my food without fail for 365 days. :)

I've always had one. 132 lbs, 5'5", it's still there. :/ Edit: I also wear a size 4/6.

Last night I stuck to my calorie goal, even though my husband was eating Reese pieces right in front of me!!

I’m only 1.5 pounds away from my (second) final goal of being 130 lbs by my sisters wedding at the end of May. My original was to be a normal BMI which happened at about 149. I’m so close and I can’t wait to maintain for a while!

Frozen cherries, partially defrosted, with a little honey drizzled on top. Mmmmmm.

They will probably shrink a little, but keep in mind that DD is just a number and is a ratio compared to the band. So a 38DD is a lot bigger than a 32DD. I second the proper fitting. Go to Nordstrom or a real lingerie store or use this calculator: http://abrathatfits.org/calculator.php I started at a 40DDD and am now a…

I bought size 2 jean shorts at Target today. Granted, they are super stretch and the vanity sizing there is CRAZY, but stilll... 2!

Hi, I have PCOS and I didn't notice much improvement from the metformin. I was on it for about 2 years, and recently went off it after losing weight. My doctor warned me I might see irregular cycles if I discontinued it, but they've stayed the same. Losing weight was the only thing that shortened my long cycles. My cycles…

I lost 2 inches off my waist in 2 months! :)

So many memories! spreading peanut butter on a plate, sticking jumbo marshmallows in it, and covering it all with maple syrup microwaving a jumbo marshmallow until it blew up huge and then eating the twisted, chewy remains velveeta mac and cheese mixed with a can of tuna and frozen peas american cheese melted on white…

I am still really attracted to the plus size racks at Target. I don't know if I really like the styles better or if it's just habit – and I haven't been plus size in a year. I keep catching myself over there and then consciously steering myself away.

I ate within my calorie budget after a week of out of control overeating.

Yep. When I was gaining weight, my husband was my biggest enabler. He always said I was beautiful no matter what. When I wanted to lose weight, he supported me in that, too. He’s who I share my success with and confide my fears. Have you asked your husband to help you stick to your eating plan? Little things like weighing…

I think they are delicious, but they make me hungrier. Cherry pie is my favorite and is delicious with coffee.

You don’t have to exercise if it doesn’t feel right for you. You can just eat at a deficit. However, once your weight is closer to a normal bmi you might want to in order to increase your calorie burn. You can try yoga at home, or calisthenics. There are lots of exercise DVDs out there you can follow along to at home, or…

Depression is something that’s ongoing. It can be managed, and you absolutely should do your best (with your doctor) to manage it. But you can’t wait til it’s dealt with to take other action in your life. It might always be there. Making friends and becoming more social, leaving the house, etc will probably all help you…

No, it would piss me off, too.
