  • I'm a stay at home parent, the majority of other parents at my eldests school are normal weight. There are 2 very super oebese mothers, and one obese father, then me who is also obese. The rest vary between average and slim. I see more slim people about because, well, I guess they are more confident to go out in public?…
  • Bodybuilding and powerlifting aren't the only ways people lift weights...just sayin'...totally off topic however. Some of us do olympic lifting because it is fun, and I find the movements assist me with feeling strong and mobile. I'm 4'11" and 81.8kg (180.5 pounds), I'm having a few weeks of eating to maintain just because…
  • Where in the worl is OK? Sounds like an interesting place name. Hope you have success :-)
  • Ok, weird. I changed my units to calories and now it says I still had some to eat for yesterday. I don't want to have to use calories, we work in metric here! Is this a known issue? Is something getting lost in translation between the 2 energy units?
  • I can't get over how it is legal/ok in the USA to state something is "free" of energy or macros. Do things like Coke zero etc also state that? Everything seems well labled here. I cringe when I see people eating these No Cal items, like I've seen a something-farms (Waldo??? Walden?) strawberry jam, peanut butter and other…
  • Aren't we all doing some form of IF, anyway? We eat dinner abiut 5:30 here because we have small children, then I don't get a chance to eat breakfast till about 11am the next day. Never considered it fasting. I have to take the eldest to school, the next one to kindy (preschool), then the baby and I go for a walk so she…
  • I'm only doing low carb/keto because of the appetite suppressant factor, and I NEVER have carb days. If I feel like i must indulge, I buy myself a huuuge piece of meat and stuff myself silly.
  • Dude, these threads are so confusing when you don't live in the USA. What you call a sausage, I am sure is not a sausage here. Sounds more like a deli meat or a salami? A Sausage to me is something a butcher would make, with beef or pork, in a thin skin. And a brat, what is that? Apart from a naughty child. I have 3 of…
  • When I was 252lbs I was a UK size 26 @4'11"
  • Never ever had a doctor weigh me?! Yikes. I can't see how that is something they need to know. If he/she wanted to know for some important reason, like an adult they would trust me to know what I weigh and just ask me. Yes I weigh each morning, naked, after a pee. It's very cold in NZ right now and we have no heating so…
  • I'm 4'11", I am 83.8kg (a hair under 184lbs) and breastfeeding an almost 12 month old. I'm averaging 1600-1900cal a day and losing about 2kg a week (a couple of pounds). I'm not exercising at all right now because my husband has taken over my workout space with some woodworking project and I can't reach my rack! But when I…
  • No it doesn't. It means exclusive breastfeeding - no solids, formula or liquids other than breastmilk.
  • Also, the would bread does look nice! Still surprises me how sweet American bread is though. Sweetener in bread sounds so weird! I'm in New Zealand so don't have access to a lot of the stores or brands here. I can't find any of the things like almond flour etc I see in so many recipes. Online stores have it but the expense…
  • If you don't mind cold foods, you can boil some eggs the night before and de-shell and pop into the fridge. I like to slice in half lengthwise, dig out the yolks and do a curried egg type thing. I mash the yolks with mayonnaise and curry paste and soon back into the egg halves.
  • We don't refrigerate our eggs, do you guys? Eggs I imagine might be difficult to carry.
  • I would throw it all away, unfortunately I don't live alone. I have a baby, two bigger kids and a husband who all dig their toast! The house is full of tempting foods. 'Just don't do it' wasn't really working for me yesterday so I just needed a little kick up the backside. I've gotten everyone else a little lower carb, but…
  • You are not alone, for sure. My stomach hangs down like a sack of sand. I get constant fungal infections under my "sandbags". My highest recorded weight was 253lbs, or s BMI of 52 at my small height. I did lose about 80-something pounds in 2015 but put a bunch back on. I have horrible skin that drives me mad.
  • I found I used a lot more than the 500 calorie reccomendation when breastfeeding. I did read a couple of studies that indicated the actual amount of extra energy you need is more like 700-800, but they round it down to account for extra body fat gained during pregnancy, to cover the extra couple of hundred calories. While…
  • 1673.04 - haha. I work in kilojoules so didn't even have a clue how many calories I was eating. I'm 34, 149cm (4'11"), losing slowly and steadily. Don't know how many pounds I am, pounds annoy me, I use metric measurements. I was 85.2kg this morning, I started at 89.9kg. I lose about 500-700g per week. I am breastfeeding…
  • The values here are for raw, and I weigh all my bacon in grams before cooking. I also have been known to lick the pan when it cools down! How strange to get a cooked value on the packet!
  • I'll dig out some pics later - I'm 4'11" and lost about 90lbs in 2015, in just under 8 months.
  • My husband is 5'6" and 161lbs. He's bangin', smoking hot, to me anyway.
  • She's pretty short though - 30km would be an enormous amount of steps. I'm 4'11" and that would get me about 50,847 steps at my usual pace. My walking stride length is 59cm.
