It is funny you saying that about Covid because I am going thru Covid right now. I have no smell or taste and it is a big help for sticking to my meal plans. I fall to the trap of eating when bored and being in quarantine is really boring. But there is no sense of eating calorie dense foods all day when I can eat less…

I am in the same boat as the op. For me with this pandemic, there was nothing to look forward to because everything was canceled. I had no reason to diet (I know there are reasons like health) for a goal like upcoming family gatherings or vacations. Plus, all the time sitting in the house with nothing to do and I ate. With…

I would also like to thank everyone with their posts. I did the same exact thing as the original poster. I lost weight and gained it back. Starting the journey once again but it is discouraging. The "one day at a time" is great advice and I keep telling myself that I did it once and I can do it again.

My experience isn't as bad as yours. What helped me is that I would freeze a bottled water. Then at night while watching television I would use the frozen water and roll it under my foot. That helped me immensely.

Believe it when Shaun T. says "It is alright to take rests." The people in the video are fitness trainers and do not get discouraged that you cannot keep up with them. As Shaun T says "Take a rest and get right back in it." You might take many rests at first but will see improvement within the first couple of weeks.

I did Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit today. I struggled with it so bad. I only got four hours sleep because of a horrible day of work. I am hoping that is the reason for it being so difficult today. I did it though so I am happy.
-
I did insanity pure cardio today too. I didn't do any abs as I am in month 1 week 1. I really got a good sweat on especially with it being so humid out.
-
I had Max interval Pylo as well today. You must be feeling great since you are so close to the end. Great job! I have hated power jumps since they were introduced in the fit test. They might be the exercise I hate the most from Insanity.

Good for you. Just started month 2 and quickly remembered how intense it is. is it bad that I want to take a break during the "warm-up"? lol
-
During my first time thru insanity I had trouble with the motivation during the second month. I believe it is because of the intense workouts for 6 days in a row. Tips I can give is that I kept on thinking that I was so close to the end and it would be stupid to quit at this time. I also said when I finish the second month…

That is a great idea. I never thought of that but it makes so much sense. Thank you for that recommendation. The fit test is a nice workout but it isn't too long so doing it on my day off shouldn't really affect anything.

I do the recovery days no matter what. Those recovery days are still good workouts and I figure I still have two more workouts for that week. I am going to miss it this week as I am in the cardio recovery week of core cardio and balance. Then on to month 2 with that crazy first day workout of fit test and max cardio…

Thanks for the answers. I will go and do that. I was above the 1500 and I never noticed the prompt to recalculate.

When I suffer from it, I use to freeze a bottled water. When it was frozen, I would lay it on the floor and roll my foot over it in a back and forth motion. This helped me a lot.

I agree with the people who said it is alright to take breaks. There were some exercises where I might have only done a couple and rested for the majority of that exercise. Eventually, you will be able to do more reps of each exercise. I am doing Insanity for the second time and I still take breaks during the exercises.…

Garlic salt and/or parmesan cheese.

Pasta with sausages. Obviously, I knew it wasn't a healthy meal but no idea that the calories were that much. Then sometimes I would have a meatball or two with it. Just that meal would be close to my total allowance.

Like I said earlier, I finished insanity last week. I have tried it so many times in the past and I have always quit. I don't know why but I was determined to finish the *kitten* thing this time. I love my results. Two months ago there is no way I would have imagined at how I look now. I started up again and I thought the…

I just had a cheat day and I believe it helped me. It was my reward for finishing the insanity workout and I set this as a goal while I was in the middle of the program. It helped me complete the program and I then it satisfied my craving for that steak bomb sub and fries that I wanted so bad. Next day, right back to…

I tried the red velvet last night and I thought it was good. It satisfies my craving for red velvet so I would definitely eat it again. Sea salt caramel is still my favorite. Next up will be birthday cake.
-
And that is where the rub comes in. I cannot do just a teeny bit of real ice cream. I am better off with the pint of Halo Top.
-
I finished it and I am so happy that I did. Love the results. I am taking a week off and starting all over again. The one tip I can offer is do what you can do and do not worry what the fit people are doing on the dvd. I don't think I will ever be able to keep up with them for the whole workout. It is alright to take a…

Sea salt caramel is definitely my favorite. Like the OP, I didn't like the cookies -n- cream but I tried it before I learned it is better to let it melt a little. I will try it again to see if it makes a difference. I have the red velvet scheduled for tonight and I am hoping that is good since I love red velvet.

I just finished my 1st 60 day workout of Insanity. Taking several days off and starting it once again.
-
I just finished the 2nd week of the second month and I am impressed with the results. My improvement from when I first started to now is eye opening. Yes there are many other programs that work but I feel like I am REALLY working out when the sweat is pouring off me. The OP is correct in saying anyone can do it. I think…

I am also on week 2 of month 2 and I am loving the results. I have tried it so many times but I have never got this far. So close to the finish line.

My sentiments exactly. Ice cream is my weakness and I cannot do just a little. I have to do the whole tub and Halo Top allows me to do that. I just discovered it several weeks ago and I am so grateful I did. To have a tub of ice cream within my calorie allotment just seems to good to be true.
