Happy Monday! Last week ~133 Sunday 6/9 - 131.9 Monday 6/10 - 133.8 (!) Mental game fail yesterday. Life stuff. Brushing myself off...

I am not a expert but I found that those 10lb high-rep sets in group ex held me back after a point. I love group ex so it was hard to admit. I ended up with multiple overuse issues: knee pain, tendinitis in the shoulder, even abdominal muscle trigger points (tense spots that caused me wicked back pain). I was also 10-15lbs…

Hello!! I'm back and in for the month. I'm at 133, goal is 125 and getting back to 128 (I had it in April!) by July is my priority. Five to go. Always 5 to go, haha. Back to basics: calorie deficit, keep lifting, sprint twice a week not once, and walk more.

Are you using a food scale? What is your activity level set to? Lightly active vs sedentary? Maybe you're not burning as many calories as you'd think.
-
Awesome work. 30lb is a great success plus you obviously built muscle too!

I'm trying to bold the part about not wanting to puke. That sounds like really intense cardio. That 3x /week, along with lifting and lots of other movement throughout your week is a lot. I'm no expert, but your symptoms sound like over-training. I wouldn't cut the lifting, but could you cut back one day of the cardio and…

Do you have to stay strictly keto? Could you consider a more moderate low-carb diet and add some carbs back in? After trying keto successfully but not loving some of the side effects, I found that staying under 70-100g of carbs a day keeps my cravings under control, and still lets me drop weight if I want to.

Hi ladies. 5’6 2/1 133 2/8. 131.9 2/12 133 2/15 131.9 I like where I’m trending. This is my body’s happy maintenance place. Goal is just convincing my mind and body that it would be nice to shred a little now. @rianneonamission thanks for the encouragement. I’m pulling myself out of that mode, slowly. Have SO much fun on…

Try to accept the ups and downs and practice being less emotional about it. Letting the scale wreck your day or week is a reaction you can change. Be careful about tying your happiness up with a lower number too. That number doesn’t define your self worth. More frequent weight-ins give you more chances to practice a better…

@TynaBaby17 Now that I’ve read up a bit, think it’s a common side effect of losing weight. Not sure about you all but it makes me feel better that I’m not alone. @DomesticKat do you always wear the extensions? Are they hard to take care of? So curious how you like them. @honeybadger155 so great you rock short hair, I wish…

Late but here! 5’6 2/1 133 2/8. 131.9 I’m still in beat-myself-up mode BUT trying my a** off to quit it. On the good side my cals and workouts were more on point this week. I’m keeping junk food in my life, but it has to be completely worth it, and fit my cal goals. Have to keep trucking here and keep making the little…

It does get easier over time. I challenged myself to alcohol-free months, every few months. It was really, really hard at first. I had become a daily drinker, just one drink a day or on alternate days, but my body was pretty dependent and I drank a lot in the weekends. I wanted to kill someone the first time I stopped…

1/1 130.0 1/20 132.2 1/28 133.5 I was at goal in November (125) and I feel awful that I gained it back, but I lost the last 5lbs it under crazy stress, not good habits, so what do I expect? Goal now is to chill out about the scale and just try to feel good about myself again because due to that stress in the fall I’ve been…

I have 4-lb swings pretty regularly. They happen. Don’t let it mess with your head too much.

Congrats on your progress!

Thank you @canadjineh, this is great info. It’s useful to know that some of this might be the natural slowing down of growth due to winter, and also that it might be a slowdown of growth rather than loss I should get nervous over.

This got me started ^

My challenge is sticking with the same program, Strong Curves full body 3x/week, a mix of the beginner and advanced program. I’ve had great results with it but it’s been 18 months now, so the goal is to stay consistent and use accessory work to keep things fresh.

1/1 130.0 1/20 132.2 I hope I’m making a little muscle here.
-
Glad you are back! Sounds like a good plan.

Sorry you are dealing with all this. I feel you on the irony, hitting goals while every area of life is under stress. Hugs and hoping everything works out ok.

Happy New Year everyone, I’m back in too. Dropped under my original goal weight of 125 around Thanksgiving but some of that was due to stress. Now I’m at the high end of my maintenance range and feeling fluffy. Time to manage maintenance better. 5’6 CW 1/3 - 130.0 Goal 125-127

I got burned out from a few years of too much group ex plus triathlon training, three hour workouts etc. I was 15lbs heavier then too! I remember being exhausted and hungry all the time. I’m pretty sure it was stressing my body and from what I understand, cortisol (stress hormone) gets released with overtraining which can…

Amazing work, you look wonderful. Thanks for sharing the mental side of your success too. That’s where it all starts.

I count Spanx as a kind of undergarment, which is between you and your skin. My instinct is that this is crossing some kind of line for an employer.

I need a place to vent my holiday stress, hope that’s ok here. Why does this time of year put so much pressure on us? I want to avoid booze and be moderate with all the holiday foods this year.

Height 5’6” GW 125 Oct 1: 133.2 Oct 8: 132.2 Back on track this week with food and logging. I’m super happy that I’ve added some running back in, the plantar fasciitis is getting better.
