Hey guys, sorry I have been MIA. Have been on a super exhausting trip; a night here, two nights there and so on. Cousin twice removed got married and we had a blast at her wedding. After that it was just run, run, run. Home now and have collapsed. Will post a WI tomorrow after a restful night. Hope all is well in your…

RecipeScrapper PW: 342.2 CW: 352.2 Thank you stressful week. Walking hospital floors and parking lots should have helped me lose weight. I think it may be partly the soreness in my back muscles from all the carrying of stuff to hubby in hospital.

Ok SA's it has been a long week and a half. Hubby is still in hospital. Infection is better, swelling is almost gone. His heart now is causing some unforeseen issues ... rhythm won't stay regular, BP is all over the place, pulse is fine then erratic, just a mess. They have had him on a monitor for ten days and challenges…

Sometimes your body just needs a "shaking up". It could be that you need a carb-up every now and again. My mom would go through this and did quite well with the occasional carb-up. Good luck.

PW: 342.2 CW: 342.2 Holding steady which is a great thing these past three weeks. I am holding a ton of water, my feet are so swollen. This is what happens when I get terribly stressed. Hubby is doing a bit better. He is having an irregular heart beat. They started him on a Potassium drip due to all the fluid going through…

I finally got some rest. Hubby went into hospital Friday morning early. His edema was extremely severe. He is on two antibiotics by IV drip and diuretic with tons of saline. The diuretic is doing it's job, there is improvement in the circumference of his legs in just one 24 hour period. They are still cherry red and…

Hello all. Sorry for being MIA for most of last week. Hubby's health is not good right now. He started home infusions for the next three weeks. He is such a Nervous Ned when it comes to these sorts of things and is driving me a bit wacky. A nurse comes each Monday and Friday to put on pressure dressings for his rt foot and…

Finally getting a chance to post have been tending to hubby. He is battling a severe case of cellulitis. My name is Belinda. I live in the DFW area of TX. My hubby and I have 2 feline furbabies: Sophie, 15 and Lucy, 12. I have been on my WL journey for 5 years for health reasons (migraines and hyperthyroidism). During this…

@LovebyDraug69 you are so right ... the 3/4" truly matters when you are short like we are. Due to age I recently lost my 1/2" advantage am now 5'2".

You may need some more magnesium right now. Drink some pickle juice it may help in the mean time.

Maia glad you are here. If you have trouble with your knees you may want to strengthen your quads by doing straight leg lifts and squats. I have been working with a therapist to strengthen my knees and these exercises have been very helpful. Also do bike riding occasionally. Good luck

Question ... when and where do I enter my start weight for the June challenge? OR do you take it from week 4's WI?

Update: Got all of these done. Did not set any more for the rest of the week as I was dealing with right foot fractures again. Did way too much on Friday. Sutures came out of nose and it looks better than I expected. Did a little pleasure shopping/playing. Found this terrific store that makes custom terrarium and where…

Well gang batting at .500 again for yesterday. The shower and hand washing took a lot out of me. Lots of prep for that one, but got through it successfully and the nose bandages stayed dry ... 👏👏🎉🎉!!! Did not get the tuna salad done. Instead played around with a Chicken BBQ Cole Slaw fusion salad. Was tasty and hit the…

Completed goal 1. Slacked on goal 2, just didn't want to heat up the kitchen. Wednesday's two goals: 1. Take a shower and wash my hair. I have help today and will be taking advantage of them. Still can't get the bandage on my nose wet, hence NO showering or hair washing since surgery since last Friday. 2. Make two days of…

Two goals for today: 1. Meal prep chicken salad for next two days. 2. Boil eggs for the week.

Recovery ... I had MOHS surgery on my nose May 16 to remove Basal Cell Carcenoma and plastic surgery to repair the resulting hole on May 17 (2 surgery sites: one to take the skin graft from and the nose). NO lifting, bending or carrying for the next 10 days. Pretty much no activity for 24 hours after surgery. Hubby went to…

Hope you made it home okay. Will be praying for your recovery. Blessings!!🙏🏼🙏🏼

Going to give this a try again. Maybe I can stay well enough to stick to my woe. I am a 60yo retired homemaker with arthritis and mobility issues. I have upped my steps each month by 10-15% and am currently getting close to 2500/day. I know that is not much for some but it is huge for me. The getting up and down hurts my…
