She is trying to break a plateau. Also exercise calories burned are not exact science so if she isn't losing weight and she is eating back exercise calories she may not be in a calorie deficit.

Are you weighing on the same day and same time and same scale? It may take a bit for your body to catch up to what you are doing. Embrace that you are feeling better and doing things that support this and the rest will happen

Do mojitos count as food since they are made with limes and mint?

Learn about food and calories. Knowledge is power. When I hear sneaky calories I think of what you might get added to your food when you go out to eat.
-
Then see a different doctor until one pays attention to you. A psychiatrist would be your best starting place.

You need to weigh everything that goes in your mouth. Don't eat your exercise calories back. If you are gaining weight at 1200 calories a day you are not actually eating 1200 calories a day

You can look online for a TDEE calculator and it can tell you what your maintenance calories are for your height and weight.

I can't see your diary to know if you need more calories but if you don't I would suggest a realignment of your calories so you can have a meal when you get off of work.

Mine is open to the people I have friended here. If someone has friended me and they do not open their diary to friends I eventually unfriend them. My reasoning behind these two choices is that I believe if you have chosen to set up a support network of friends your information should be open to them. That may be getting…

My unpopular opinion seems to be CIC0 makes sense. I had 100 pounds to lose and MFP put me on 1200 calories a day. I have lost over 40 pounds since April but occasionally I will have a week of doing it right and I will lose nothing. I also have weeks of doing the same when I lose 4 pounds. Any time I have a stall week…
-
My diet too is called CICO. I eat what I want in portions that fit my REASONABLE calorie goal.

I do not eat exercise calories but I have a lot to lose. Exercise would not set you back 500 calories.

You are holding yourself back. It starts with the food. Stop baking treats and buying chips. The biggest problem is not not going to the gym it is making excuses for staying fat.

12 bucks at Amazon. Probably cheaper at Walmart. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A6D9ANI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I set my goal weight at about ten pounds below the high number on the BMI chart. That left me with 100 pounds to lose. I am 40 down and I figure when I get closer to my goal I can adjust it based on what I see and feel. The main focus I have is on behavior goals instead of weight goals. Things I can control. Like I will…

The only way I can stomach it is in a soup with a bunch of other stuff. I don't buy it.

Keep doing what you are doing.

I measure ice cream instead of weighing. If you weigh I would suggest ounces

I'm having the same problem. I just started tracking my fiber to see if that will help.

I am in Oskaloosa. I started in April and I have lost 40 pounds. I have around 60 to go. I have been on every day except when I was on vacation and didn't have good internet access. You can add me.

Don't have cheat days. If you want a certain food fit it in to your calorie goal. Your body is retaliating against having too much of something crappy. Listen to it

If you are spending $3.00 a day on salad that is $21.00 a week you can spend on salad fixings at home and have total control over the calorie count. Plus be really full. It is worth it. Boil some eggs, bake some chicken breats, cut up some veggies.I have found the majority of restaurant salads are crazy calorie wise…

I too suffer from severe depression. You need to see a doctor. If you already are and you have been on meds for 6 weeks or more without improvement you need to go back. It sucks when the motivation is gone to have to fight for treatment but if you do nothing else you have to find a way to do this. You are worth it.

My first month I ditched all processed food and sugars (including fruit). I have slowly added all foods in and done really well with it. You have to develop a lifestyle you can do forever.
