For me I have to agree on the socializing that involves booze...especially wine and mojitos. I will save calories to have a couple but after a couple I say sure I'll have another one. I find it better to just drink water and not get started but I miss it.

Counting calories. That way I can eat whatever I want so I know it will be sustainable for life. MFP rocks!

For under 200 calories I make a big romaine salad, throw in some peppers, onions, cucumber and 4 ounces of boneless chicken breast and 2 or 3 tablespoons of Olive Garden Lite or sour cream and salsa.

This is easy....you need to eat less. I would suggest you keep a food diary on here and weigh and measure and record what you eat.

Eat real food. Log every bite. You didn't put it on quickly do not expect it to leave quickly. We are not doctors. Medical issues should be addressed with your physician.

Sounds like you are in a tough situation. It is all about the food though so eat less of the fattening stuff and fill up on the low-cal veggies. Good luck in your job search
