Just so I'm clear, is a refeed when you eat at maintenance level for a short period of time (a day, several days, couple of weeks, etc.)?

Trying for B - Eat maintenance

Keep up the good work!

I went out for dinner last night with family and had the same dish I had about 6 months ago before I started trying to lose weight. I still had room for dessert last time, this time I couldn't finish the main. I also had a cupcake earlier in the week and was shocked at how sickly sweet it tasted, made me realise how much…

There's already a lot of great advice been posted so I just wanted to wish you the best, you can do it!

I would like to get down to 180 lbs by mid-June. In all my adult life my lowest weight was 180 so it would be amazing to get back to that. Then I'll focus on getting to 140 by the following June.

I'm learning to sew so I can resize some of my old clothes and the rest I will probably donate.

How come?

I'm gonna do my best to log what I eat - there'll be a lot of estimations however for food that someone else will be cooking. I'm aiming for maintenance calories on Christmas Day but I'll up my exercise if I go over that, I don't want to be too strict on myself but also don't want to waste all my effort these last few…

Thanks for the tip!

My partner started using MFP a couple of weeks ago so now when we're eating together there's twice as much measuring... it's nice being able to experience the hardships together and support each other though :)

I stopped drinking soda, now I just drink water or squash which is only 9 calories per 500 ml so pretty much all of my daily allowance of calories can be used towards food and I feel much less bloated.

I mean using them like dumbbells - there are a wide range of moves you can do with dumbbells.

They're 5-litre bottles of Ice Vale Spring Water which have carry handles on top.

End goal is about 140

That's really helpful, thanks!

No it doesn't, is there a device I can purchase separately and attach to my bike to measure watts?

Oh I misunderstood his explanation, I thought he meant he ran 2 miles each time, not overall.
-
Here is an online speed/distance/time calculator. If I input your distance of 2 miles and time of 5 mins 20 seconds it says you were running at 23 mph.
-
Well done, you should be so proud of yourself! Your starting weight is close to mine, I hope I can get to 150 lbs at one year too!

When I started out one particular person told me it won't work, tried to persuade me to give up and eat takeaways and asks what I'm doing it for and when I'll be finished. I thought she would be more encouraging and supportive.

I'm not a runner myself but I think if you're running outside you have to avoid obstacles and may have to climb steps or step on and off the sidewalk, so maybe that will give you more of a workout. Although on a treadmill you don't have to slow down or stop at traffic crossings so your pace is kept higher. I don't see…

My clothes are looser and my ring size has gone down 2 sizes.

I have a digital scale and when I went to my GP last month their mechanical scale gave me an extra 4 pounds :( I still only log the results from my own scales onto MFP though so I can monitor my weight loss.
