I absolutely love the top of 2 and it's very classy, but 1 is my favourite.

Thank you everyone for your positivity. I'm feeling so much better about it, and able to put it in perspective. And yes my week overall is still well in deficit. The positive from yesterday was that everyone commented on how much weight I'd lost and how good I was looking, which was a well needed boost.

Thank you for posting that! That's always been my failure, that I felt I'd have to give up these fun days of lots of prosecco in the sunshine if I was to lose weight. I'm so glad to hear you've stuck to your goals after 5 months even with days like these. You've given me more hope.

Thanks for all the responses. So my other question, what do you think about eating below BMR? I guess short term it's not a bad thing, but not for very long? Looking at my averages over the past 6 weeks, my total has been around 1550, but net just under 1200.

Thanks for that!! I'm not feeling hungry. I got to 980 calories today by 7pm after dinner and felt full, and wondered how I'd find another 400 odd calories by the end of the evening (including exercise calories I had left). I am feeling a bit light headed at times, but that's not too uncommon for me.

I have lost 12 lbs in 6 weeks, so would that be considered too fast? I now only have 20 lbs left to go, so should I change my goal to 0.5 lbs/week?
-
No 1-2 lbs a week.

Awesome! You look amazing!
-
That's awesome! 17 lbs is a great achievement, and now you know you can go all the way. Well done!
-
Wow congratulations!! That's an awesome change. Truly inspirational!

Don't think just do it.

When I got the vivofit it wasn't with the intention of helping me lose weight, so I didn't really look into calories as part of it. I've only recently synced it to MFP and I'm still confused about how it all works which is why I asked the question. I wasn't saying I didn't plan to use it to track calories, I was just…

Thanks for all that! Why is so much about weight loss based on numbers on the scales when there are so many variables that impact it? I know it's about the downward trend rather than numbers week to week. I'm learning so much here. When I first started my weight loss journey 4 years ago (and 16 lbs lighter) I wish I'd…

I've found that you have to find something you enjoy doing to keep doing it. I've tried early morning routines and while it's OK for every now and then, regularly doesn't do it for me. I'm not a morning person. I felt guilty when I used to go to the gym in the evenings as I wasn't spending time with my hubby, but he…

I've found 2 I love that have 20g protein and less than 2g sugar. I'd never reach my protein goal without them. I do eat ham and chicken but I'd have to eat so much of that to reach 20g protein.
-
I live in London so from the local health food shop. Not sure about US.

The sugar's the massive difference. 0.6g sugar in the carb killa bar, 27g in a snickers bar. Carbs 33g in snickers, 13g in carb killa. 4g protein in snickers, 20g in carb killa. Satisfies my chocolate craving with significantly less sugar, can only be a good thing.

That's really interesting thanks for that! So I've been going just over a month. Should I wait another month just using MFP figures and then calculate?

Hi everyone! I'm 43, 2 kids and a hubby. I've been logging for a while but really up and down with my weight, never really taking it seriously enough. Before turning about 35 (and having kids) I never had to watch what I ate. Since then it crept up and up. 3 years ago I joined a gym and fell in love with working out, and…

Absolutely!!! Everything with me is about the mental challenges. I've lost 10 lbs but just hit a plateau in the past 2 weeks. Every other time this has happened is when I've stopped and given up. Last night I had such a mind battle convincing myself to keep going, the scales aren't everything, I'm allowed to plateau and…

Add me too! I've just joined the forum after fluctuating weight for the past 4 years. I've already lost 9 lbs in a month so doing well so far. 15 lbs to go and then focus on maintaining.

I'm in! I've been logging on and off for years but only just joined the forum to get some inspiration and motivation. It's now a life-change rather than a temporary diet, so my mind-set's changed. Fingers crossed I can maintain this time.

I've just started counting macros too. Mainly because other times I've counted calories only and not been able to maintain the weight loss. Hopefully by considering macros I can lost the weight more slowly but keep it off. I worked it out by doing a few different PT's online calculators and taking the averages. It's worked…
