I will count calories 'til the day I die! Just like I will keep track of all my checks and debits in my checking book! Neither takes much effort, is a good thing to do, and avoids big problems! This is what works for me!

No, that doesn't happen to me, as I do my own cooking, and pre-plan my meals. I am on only1200 calories, and my meals are evenly divided at about 400 calories each. Perhaps you could watch/help your Mom cook dinner and that would help you. Good luck!

@Miss_Missy I haven't tried edamame pasta, but I had red lentil rotini this week. Very filling and yummy! Tonight, I'm trying chickpea pasta. I find it best to work a craving into my 1200 daily calories.

My seedling squash plants and chives will have to stay inside under the lights for a while more, as it snowed yesterday and today. I have some canteloupe seeds potted, but they haven't sprouted yet. My daughter has a garden big enough that she shares, so I'm just growing a few oddball things!

I use plain yogurt, instead of mayo, and add celery, green pepper, a bit of onion, and some spices. Sometimes also add some hard-bolied egg, Weird at first with yogurt, but I've gotten used to it!

The only headaches I get are the awful ones I get if I don't eat within about 15 minutes of getting up in the morning. If I do anything the least bit active before eating, my morning is miserable. I wouldn't even try to exercise before eating! I've always been like this. Must be low blood sugar, I guess.
