  • I didn't realize how slow weight loss can be. I went to scoobysworkshop.com plugged in the numbers, 1256 calories a day and I will lose 2.5 lbs per month. So much for a pound a week! Even with excercise it's still less than a pound a month. At least I know and won't have expectations of losing weight faster than that. I'm…
  • I'm confused :( how many calories did you eat a day? Or does it change daily based on excercise?
  • I am a very picky eater also. I don't even like eggs. Protein powders save me. I have smoothies in the am, made with protein powder, Greek yogurt, flax, pb2, cocoa, ice and water. The quest bars are really good also! Cottage cheese ( I add sweet peas and tbs of sunflower seeds) I've also experimented with lentils, have…
  • I have been quitting smoking my entire life, just recently gave up the last of it, nicotine lozenges, gained 10 lbs. didn't really gain to much when I gave up the cigarettes 4 years ago. I used Wellbutrin and the patch to quit, which I highly recommend! My husband did not have as hard of a time as I did when he quit, just…
  • Looking for friends! I signed up a while ago but am only now really trying to use MFP. I am 52 years old and,5ft 2in tall. As of today I weighed in at 164.5. I quit nicotine lozenges about 10ish weeks ago and gained 10lbs. I would like to lose 30lbs to start. My plan is logging cals with a focus on enough protein and…

  • Congratulations! Clothes shopping is so much fun!
  • I rejoined a couple days ago. I gave up my favorite drug of choice nicotine and also was eating everything in sight, feeling sorry myself. I think it's ok to give yourself a little time to adjust but it sounds like your starting to do something about it, that is good! I bought a bike and am slowly trying to build up some…
  • 30 minutes on bike this evening!
  • Thanks for all your support! I am thinking 1200 cals is pretty low. I bought a bike yesterday which for me is way more challenging than walking. Also, I am done with nicotine, I have done it all after giving up the actual cigarettes, vaping, gum, lozenges. Just don't want that monkey on my back anymore! I'm feeling pretty…
  • I am 5'2" and up to 167 after giving up the nicotine lozenges. My goal is 1200 calories a day. Only just now feeling like I can start to focus on healthy eating. Giving up the lozenges was almost as hard as giving up the cigarettes. I did by a pedal bike today!
