  • ****Tongue in cheek**** Oh how I wish that were true for me...I don't drink, haven't since my teens, and am a chronic insomniac also since my teens. Considering taking up drinking to see if it improves my sleep quality, lol.
  • Ok so question for heavy lifting women... I am 43 year old mum of 3. I have lost 27kg (60lb) over the last 1.5 years with some more to go. I have taken pride in the fact that it's entirely possible to get in shape without setting foot in the gym. My family is keen on events such as the Tough Mudder and I'd love to join…
  • Sorry I meant 220lb
  • When I was pregnant I weighed 220kg. I tracked my calorie intake at around 1400. I did put on some weight, but it was less than 10 pounds which all came off within about 10 days of giving birth so was mostly fluids. After I finished breastfeeding, I knuckled down to getting my weight under control. My midwife was all on…
  • The OP was asking how our results were looking on IF. As I said, I am not new to IF but had hit a plateau after a year and started OMAD as a way to change things up. I dont think you were in my bathroom when I weighed myself. The scales did indeed tell me I physically weighed 5 pounds less at the end of the week, than at…
  • I have been doing 16:8 IF for nearly a year and lost 20kg (44 pounds). In the last month or so, I've gained and lost the same kg. So thought I needed to change it up a bit and moved to 23:1 or OMAD. I've been doing that a week without any issues with the transition and have lost 2.5kg (over 5 pounds) in a week. I don't…
  • I weigh every day or every second day. It helps me keep on track even with the continual up and downs. Then at the end of the week or fortnight I look at the overall trend. I'm going for slow loss that I hope will make it easier to maintain in the long run.
  • Your no nonsense approach and steady determination is fabulous. Well done!
  • I have a Blaze and I quite like it. I did still log my specific workouts through MMF which feeds through to the fit bit, but mostly because I often do the same workouts so I like to compare them over time. My fit bit doesn't have an inbuilt gps. My brother has the Ionic, which does, and he really likes it. That being said,…

  • I have lost nearly 20kg. With still another 15 or so to go, I had to go shopping for some "in between" clothes to see me through to my goal, because everything else is huge on me. I am so unused to what size I am now compared to what I was, that I kept totally misjudging what would fit me - I'd grab an XL only to find I…
  • That's a good idea to test the strength difference first. Thank you!
  • First one from May last year at about 107kg And this one from today at 90kg. I still have a long way to go
  • Yep same here. I had mine out about 9 years ago. Was never told anything like that (and it doesn't appear medically sound since bile is used to digest fats) and I routinely eat fresh veg and salads with no probs. If I eat too much cheese or other high fat foods I feel nauseous. But that's it. Livestrong says "ensuring that…
  • I do the 16:8 fast but I also keep track of my calories (I'm not militant about it but I stay within cooee of 1200-1350 calories a day). I'm 5'4". So far I have lost 13.5kg in about 5.5 months. If we're away for the weekend I only do the fasting, not the calorie counting though I try to make sensible food decisions. I was…
