It's absolutely going to get better, but it takes consistency and work. Also. Slow down. At 32, I felt exactly like you do, that I wasn't built for cardio, but I did make it happen for the first time in my entire life. I'd look into a C25K program. You might be able to start further into the program if you can run a…

Yes. So, I'm fine with running, but for me it's weightlifting. I want so badly to start lifting heavy at the gym, but I'm just so scared of being stared at while I fumble my way through the first few sessions, trying to learn how to use the equipment and figure out my starting weights and use proper form. I find it very…

I'm not at the long distance level yet, but I love running and am slowly, gradually training up my mileage :) I've got 18 lbs left to lose and I'm training for a 10k right now.

I agree with those who said that if you just started exercising, it's likely water weight. It took my body a couple of weeks to adapt to the new stress I was putting on my muscles and release that water weight. Keep with it! You really will start seeing results soon.

That I should stick to 1200-1400 calories a day. I'm not saying it's a terrible approach for everyone. Sure, if you're smaller and you're sedentary, that might be what you need to do. But for me, at 170+ lbs, that's not going to work out. Luckily I knew better for myself.

This health/fitness related stuff was the reason I finally had a try turn into a success. I turned to self-love. My body deserved better than I was giving it. Here it was carrying me through my life and I was not giving it what it needed. I began to parent myself like I do with my kids - gave myself adequate sleep,…

Monday's off to a bit of a rough start - forgot my gym bag at home, and have a bit of a tummy bug to boot. But I planned my food, and I'm on track to eating healthy and within my goal today. That's a big deal for me lately!

Being overweight hurt my body and felt limiting. Just figured I deserved better.

1. Use your sedentary time to plan as much as you can - plan your meals, bookmark workouts you can do at a hotel gym, etc. 2. Check out websites of restaurants that you'd find in most towns to pre-screen your meal options - have a go-to breakfast at, say, McDonalds or Starbucks or Subway that fits your calories or macros…

This might be the best thing I've read in days, because this is really why we're all here isn't it? You are the proof that the lives we're all in pursuit of are POSSIBLE and the hard work is worth it. I hope that you're very proud of yourself for all you've accomplished and for giving yourself the best shot at a full and…

I'm still overweight but I would love to later show or see how a c-section scar can affect bellies. For me, I had no real "flap" or apron from my scar until after my next pregnancy. It's normal but many women find it hard to reconcile.

I'm at work, basically biding my time until I go running on my lunch break. Trying to decide if I want to try a speed workout today.

I am in exactly the same boat! I was down 43lbs but things have been chaotic and I haven't been shy about indulging so I'm back to 40lbs. But I'm so very proud of myself and you should be too! We DO "got this"! Well done, you!

I do like it, but it doesn't like me - I'm allergic to cow milk protein.

Am currently in "any second now" mode, waiting for mine to arrive. It's regular-ish, but never enough to nail down to a certain day. Could be today, could be almost a week. My broody feelings tell me it's probably tomorrow, though. Pass the chocolate?

Jumping in here! I stopped at the grocery store to get a breakfast that included plant and protein, instead of my default bagel with cream cheese. My goals for myself this week are to cut my dairy consumption out (again...), close my food diary properly each day, and get 5 days of exercise this week. It's all very doable.

I have 2 things: Mantras, my favourite of which is, "Keep showing up for yourself." I also like, "You never regret it once it's done." Promise myself that if it sucks after 10 minutes, I can quit. I've probably only invoked that clause twice in the past year - once after 14 minutes because I was actually coming down with…

We are a "one activity per child" family for the most part, but my other ideas (that you've probably already thought of) include: - arranging car pools at least for the older kids if they don't need a parent to attend the activity. This may give you every other week off from whatever activity. - I use my lunch hours for…

In the past year, my cardio conditioning has gone from 'fair' according to Fitbit, to 'Good'. It took a lot of work but I'm damn proud

My doc did not comment on my weight until I lost it, at which point she noticed and asked me how I'd done so, and congratulated me on my healthy approach. It felt pretty good!

I'm super hairy for a woman. I dislike it immensely and it limits me.
-
Sometimes I exercise through it (mostly to reduce the hormonal mood symptoms) and sometimes I rest or walk only. It really depends and each day of each cycle is different.

I want to look as fantastic as I can by the time my husband returns from his trip on Aug. 16.

Size 10 pants!! Haven't been this size since a solid 7 years ago.

I work out on my lunch. I get a full hour, which is just enough time to change, run 30-40 minutes, and change back. I also have access to Beachbody on Demand so I can workout at home, sometimes while the kids play/watch TV, or sometimes after they're in bed.

I'm always in my own head - overthinking, overanalyzing. I'm just really extra to myself.
-
Wow, such amazing progress. The thing I notice purely from your photos is how much younger you look now! Good luck with your half marathon training! I admire your tenacity.

I remind myself that sensible small changes led to my success, and will also help me shed water retention. I look at my data: have I been lacking in sleep? Drinking enough water? Expecting my period? Ate a sodium-heavy meal in the past few days? Have I been tracking everything and closing my diary at the end of each night?…

This made me chuckle hahaha. Also, I didn't realize they'd been around for a decade already. That makes sense. So theoretically, using a small amount of oil and my convection oven, I should be able to accomplish similar without having an extra thing on my counter? I dig it.

Two recent size medium purchases - in tops and dresses, it doesn't surprise me, but I also got a pair of shorts in medium!
