The recipe is not as important as the prep. Get cooking spray and bake, broil, or broast your meats. Avoid foods with cream sauces and hamburger. If you keep the fat down in your meals you should be just fine.

I use spray oil for anything i can get away with since its a great alternative that cooks your veg and keeps it from sticking. I also like to just put a bit of water (2 tbsp at a time) in the bottom of my pan when cooking veg to get them soft by steaming.

Hard boiled eggs are a great bang for your buck. At around $0.10 each you can make egg salad, you can add them to salads, you can eat them with just salt and fruit or veg etc. I also love hummus and carrot sticks or bell peppers as a snack/meal, might look into a veggie hummus wrap, gives good protein and fiber.

Start using a tape measure to take your measurements in addition to weighing yourself. Muscle is more dense than fat, if you are gaining weight and not inches congratulations your putting on muscle.

I would say monitor your food for a week or two with the scale making sure to log everything that goes in your mouth. Make healthier choices during that time, more veg/fruit lean meat smaller portions and see where you are after that. If you lose weight right away stick with it until it stops working, if not start reducing…
