I home school my son because he has ASD and after being seriously bullied, assaulted etc in his first year of high school, not getting the learning support he needs etc I had to try something else and this is working, he has gone from D's and failures to getting A's a lot of the time. I work a 35hr week if averaged out, I…

I have no reason to lie and my weight loss speaks for itself, if anything I overestimate my calories. And an FYI a medium mandarin is only 50 cals and a small apple is just 72 cals. MFP actually tells me the calories im eating and I am fastidious in ensuring the macro information is correct. Btw scales don't lie either…

I don't eat back any of my exercise calories (or fitbit step adjustment). I average around 800cals/day sometimes as low as 500 and always under 1000, MFP gives me 1200calories/day to lose 1kg/week. I never eat that many. I have been at it just over 3 weeks now and I don't ever feel hungry at all. I "snack" mostly on fruit…

I prefer to run outside because my furkids run with me, it's much more fun having them run with me (except for when they get silly with each other and knock me down :D )

I am actually having a sleep study done next Wednesday night. I don't think I have sleep apnoea just poor quality sleep and issues getting to sleep related to PTSD induced insomnia. I do talk in my sleep (hilarious for anyone around including my 13yr old) and snore at times however that also seems to be when I have a sinus…

As one of the "special few" with lactose intolerance even I struggle to give up my dairy (developed my intolerance as an adult as part of a mast cell disorder I have that has caused several anaphylactic allergies as well). I have fat free natural yoghurt with gluten free museli and raw honey for breakfast most days (I also…

So I bought the Charge 2 (lucky me there was a huge special that brought it down from $248 to $159) and finally got a new scale (not a FitBit one but one that does still work out body composition). Finally figured out the set-up with my laptop and will sync it with my phone tomorrow. Thanks for your advice everyone! I am…

I have been reading there are a lot of issues with the sleep tracker on the Charge 2, how have you found it? @thatnerdydude

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm not a huge fan of watches but as I will be needing to wear my fitbit one that works as a watch seems sensible. I do want the sleep tracking because my sleep is crap at best but also as I work night shift (the joys of nursing) it would be helpful for me. Stair tracking is needed as well as…

Hey looking for some friends that as a group we can keep each other motivated. I am a return user to MFP my first time a couple years ago was a complete flop but I am more prepared and really have the drive to do this for me. I am pretty good at tracking my calories and looking at buying a FitBit soon to track my exercise…

This thread is awesome. I love my crock pots (slow cookers) so much I own 4 currently and am buying another tomorrow that has 2 x 1L and 1 x 3L all with separate controls. I admin a slow cooker group on FB and have transitioned to gluten free and lactose free recipes over the last couple years and now adapting mine,…

At 35 can I please be accepted? I can deal with the "middle aged" tag as I do tend to associate more with people in this 30-60 bracket :)

If it is something sweet you are craving could you change it up for a sweet piece of fruit like a mandarin? The calories are a lot less, you get the sweetness you crave and most people generally don't eat more than 1 or 2.
