Thank you. I drove in the the ER last night and they shot an xray. Said it looked fine but I think I should see my doc and go for an MRI to be sure.

Thank you. I'm stumbling through this injury learning as I go. I am going to see my doc and go for an MRI asap.

Thank you Sir, this is exactly what I am going to do. I'll see my primary and hopefully be sent to imaging from there. I really appreciate your advice.

Doc diagnosed a bulging disc but says I'm going to be alright

I'm there now during the night. Laying down is torture but I'm so dang tired lol. I'll be alright, I'm going to see a doc. Thanks

Thank you, I am going to make an appt today. The internet is a dangerous place. I see info like "bed rest and exercise are best" or " it will heal on it's own in 2 days to 6 months" 🙎♂️

This was extremely helpful! I stumbled across these guys the other day while wincing in pain and frantically searching the internet. As I mentioned earlier I had just incorporated leg lifts into my work out but also incorporated squats for the 1st time in my life ( yes, I know, but I'm new to fitness) and also, during a…

Thank you for the info. I'm having a tough time because I cannot get to sleep due to the pain and if I do fall asleep I wake up every hour or so in quite sever pain from laying in bed. Maybe I should move to sleeping on the hard floor?

You made a point of the core/abs weakness. In the last 2 weeks I began incorporating leg lifts into my workout. I'm doing them upright on a dip bar. This could really be the cause as it's the most recent addition to my workout. Thank you for all the advice I will follow through with heat and ice therapy.

Thanks! I have been lifting through my weight cut period but had no goals of increasing the weight. Ironically, I did make small increases because apparently I gained strength even while maintaining a caloric deficit. When I shift gears from cutting to lean bulk I will begin increasing weight and doing fail sets. Any…

Thank you Emily. I think I understand what you are saying. I thought I had a "drug" problem but it turns out I am the problem and the drugs were a symptom. I'm working through the emotional excavation now with progress and support from others.

That sounds like a lot of fun. My goal is to get big and strong but stay lean. I was planning to eat an extra 200 cal a day and start lifting progressively after I reach my weightloss goal. Any advice on reaching my big strong lean guy goal?

Thank you for the info I have heard people talk about a "re-composition", is that the same as what you are pointing out?

Thank you for the well wishes!

This is an awesome post. Really appreciate how you displayed the many cycles.

How'd you do it?
-
Yes, veggies. But other than that my carb intake is very low. No fruit and almost no sugar unless I'm cheatin' on the weekend.

Protein and protein shakes.
