Just did my weigh in, and am happy to report that i managed to break 210!
-
Congrats Scotty. I'm hoping to break 210 this weekend!

It's been a while since I checked in, but I've been a good boy with my eatince since the last one. Today makes 3 whole weeks of logging and I've managed to stay at or under my calorie goal every single day. I've also been eating a lot (for me) of veggies, and am averaging at least 1 salad every day. I'm hoping for some…

Congrats!! I'm game.

I've found that logging has been the biggest factor in eliminating the workplace grazing. Knowing that eating a fun-size snickers would then make me have to go back to my desk, login to MFP, search the database for a snickers in the right size, etc. makes me think "Ugh, eating this is not worth the hassle." Call it…

I'll have you know that I am a professional street namer. I'm not the guy who came up with the name "One Way" but that dude is a legend.

Looks like we started around the same time. Good luck on your journey.

I used to be just as addicted as you are. I tried to quit about a dozen times. The thing that finally broke the habit for me was switching to tea. Specifically, Lipton Diet Green Tea with cirtus. It has 0 calories, is very flavorful, and has none of the chemically nasty aftertaste you get in diet sodas. Plus it has 22mg of…

So, does anyone feel like pairing up with me?

Jumped back up 1lb since yesterday's weigh in - I can't wait until my numbers stabilize. In my head I know that dropping a pound in a day is as unrealistic as gaining a pound in a day, but seeing that scale tick back up just feels bad. Especially when you stay under your daily calorie goal. I'm sticking with it though.

Update: I'm down 3.6 lbs in the past 7 days and almost 7 lbs over all. I'm sure there is quite a bit of water weight in there, so hopefully I stabilize a bit in the next week so I can get a good bead on what's really going on. I've been eating pretty green for about 2 weeks now; there have been lots (well for me) of salads…

Yeah, for me a higher frequency is better. A little sounding board where people can pop by as often as they need to share success and frustration. My hope is that having a place to rant, cheer, whine, etc. will help us stay on the wagon instead of diving into a bag of cookies.

Hope you had a good trip, Dani! As for me, I've been a yo-yo dieter for a while now. I managed to get into really good shape when just before I got married. But 9 years and 2 kids put me right back where I started. Now that my youngest (AND LAST!!!) kid has hit 2 years old, I decided it was time to start taking care of…

How do people feel about creating a group for us all to use?
-
Great to meet everyone, thanks to Dani for getting us talking. I'll just brag a bit before bed, I'm only on day 2, but this was a tough one, as I had both a forced lunch at Burger King (not my choice, believe me) and a wedding in the evening. Not only did I manage to get a modest run in, but I also managed to stay under my…

I'm not really into the whole facebook thing. You can call me Joe.

Good morning. I'm from the DC area. I'm trying to get back into shape for my 10 year anniversary next year. It's dunny, because I got i to pretty good shape before we got married. 10 years and 2 kids later its time to do it all over again.
-
I'm interested. I've been looking for a buddy/group to work with for just this reason.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure where I should be posting/searching, but I thought I'd toss this up in this thread because the folks here seemed helpful. I'm just starting out here on this site (I did use it briefly a few years ago), but I am a serial starter in that I start/stop trying to get in better shape pretty frequently.…
