i have BPD and was on seroquel. i gained SO MUCH WEIGHT, probably 40 lbs + and that was with exercise and eating healthy/low-cal. i was on 400mg of sero. i was able to drop to 25 mg of sero + get on brintellix and i have now lost over 30 lbs. i don't care what other people say, sometimes meds DO cause weight gain and…

E. my goal weight is about 40 lbs away

i weigh every day and log-it into MFP. i love seeing the graph (on the app) it goes up and down a bit, but overall a very downward turn. makes me happy to see progress, and to know that weight fluctuates naturally.

this is a 3 month shot:

it is SO FRUSTRATING to see a gain of a pound (or more) when you feel like you are working so hard and doing so well. hang in there! i have had so many ups and downs, but the overall trend is DOWN and I AM LOSING. i have lost 35 lbs. i still have a way to go, BUT i see the trend moving downward and that feels great! don't…

you can always add-in some healthy foods into your sugary foods. add strawberries to cake, or add blueberries to ice cream. if you're fitting your rice krispie treat into your calorie goals and feel satisfied with that amount, sounds like you have figured out what works for you. :flowerforyou:

this is my weight loss chart since i started doing keto a month ago. notice how the line doesn't just go straight directly down from 175 to 165 lbs. some days i gained a bit, other days i lost. you just want to see an overall pattern of a downward trend.

^^ i am the same way.

i was craving fruit one week SO BAD, so i ate fruit all week. i didn't lose any weight that week. not sure if it is a direct result (i still stayed w/in calorie goal) but i have been much better about curbing the fruit since then.

i do 18/6 i love it. i agree with adding to your cooking: olive oil, also coconut oil, butter. that helps add calories without having to eat alot of extra.
-
that is odd because my calorie count is lower on LCHF. i am full with fewer cals.
-
i only need to lose 41 more, but i'm in! :flowerforyou:

whatever works for you  i do < 30g/day

i just ordered them online - should get them monday.

i do not just eat bacon and eggs. i eat broccoli and nuts and seeds and greens and berries. i agree with the p.p. my macros are 65F/30P/5C doesn't really matter the initial intended purpose of the diet. my dr recommended it for my arthritis. to each his own. but why bash keto when it does work for some people. we are all…

i do both keto and 18:6 IF

thank you so much for the info. i appreciate it and i will look into it further. i am always looking for ways to tweak my keto regime. :flowerforyou:

you can always freeze food. maybe one day next week or next month, reheat the pizza (or other food) when you have calorie room in your day.

i hope i don't sound like too big of an idiot, but i have read 3 or 4 articles on carb nite and i still have no idea what it is. LOL

i use mayo, butter & coconut/olive oil in my cooking alot on LCHF & it does increase calories quite a bit, so i agree you really have to watch. my avocado tonight was over 200 calories just for that, and i could have easily eaten 2 servings of my dinner if i weren't paying attention and logging.

i eat LCHF diet and i do eat broccoli, berries and salad. i feel like my eating habits are MUCH BETTER than when i was just eating whatever i wanted. (my arthritis is more in control, not nearly as much pain as before, my cholesterol is improving, i have very low BP and overall my health is improving as per my dr who…

oh, darn. i saw the word "pie" and clicked. sorry for bothering you. :p

this is true. i have found some sprouted wheat breads or organic all natural breads if you are craving bread and dont' want Wonder Bread.

i don't drink coffee, so i have no idea on that one, but otherwise sounds like you are headed in the right direction. i do an 18:6 split and eat from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. i don't recall a stomachache (sto-ma-che-che for those ELR fans!) or anything but you probably shouldn't eat a HUGE meal when breaking your fast…

i love chicken on a tortilla for breakfast

i ate one at wendy's the other day and it was pretty big and was only 25 calories. (not including dressing) it shouldn't be much, unless you are adding cheese, bacon bits, etc.
