  • well the little i have read doesn't talk about heavy exercise, and he is a man. but i agree on the $9 wasting. Ha hopefully someone out there knows more. thanks :)
  • my chart looks like that, too. FWIW, when i started a new crossFit routine, i gained weight. for some reason it didn't agree with my body. as soon as i stopped crossFit and went back to weight lifting, i lost all that gained weight, plus more.
  • i hate water and find it very difficult to drink in excess of the amount it takes to take my pills. i went through this phase where i was forcing myself to drink "8 glasses per day" but it didn't change my weight loss. now i only drink water when i take my pills, and that's it. i am just not thirsty, and would prefer to…
  • which is why i said to speak to her dr. not telling her to quit.
  • well if it can happen with one med, it can happen with another. i just wanted her to know that in some cases, the med itself can cause you to gain weight. i'm calm :flowerforyou:
  • i eat an AVERAGE of 1200 cal a day. some days i eat 900, other days i eat 1400. depends on my activity level for the day. i found a great app where you input the number of calories you want to eat and it will give you a weekly zig zag calorie guide. i found it to be very helpful because some days, i am just not hungry and…
  • this is not true for everyone. it's just not. EVERYONE is different. i gained SO MUCH weight when on seroquel when i was exercising and eating the same low-calorie diet i had been eating when i was losing, BEFORE the sero. i now take a lower dose of sero, and i am losing. sometimes those meds are nasty little buggers.
  • i was on 400 mg of seroquel (which i know is not paxil, but still a med) and i gained so much weight, even with exercise and eating at my calorie goal, i even weighed everything that went into my mouth. everyone said meds won't cause you to gain weight, but they did. i am now on a much lower dose and i am losing. talk to…
  • that is a really good idea
  • my cousin joined MFP and she logged EVERYTHING - even cooking dinner. it really depends on how you want to log things. in my opinion, if i do the activity every day, or most days, then i do NOT log it. if it is sporadic (such as working in my garden, or walking my dog) which i don't do very often, then i DO log it. i am…
  • take her to the dr and make sure everything is healthy on that end, such as hormone levels and blood sugar levels. she might be about to start her cycle if she hasn't already (i didn't start until i was 16) and usually girls will gain a bit of weight when they have their first cycle.
  • yes, i would see a dr. take care of yourself & good luck. congrats on the 70 lbs. :flowerforyou:
  • if you have already lost 7 lbs then it sounds like you are doing well. stick with what you are doing.
  • your food choices sound really good, but i don't think that is enough calories, i would be starving all the time. oK - now i see your new post. so if you are eating 1500 calories per day, that sounds pretty good. how long have you been at this? how much have you lost?
  • salad is a bad culprit. husband and i used to love a salad from Potbelly, until i went online and found out that the one we liked was over 2800 calories!!! weigh weigh weigh your food

  • when i go on vaca, i don't worry about my food intake or calorie AT ALL. because it's a very short amount of time compared to the rest of my life. five days is nothing. NOW if you are going on an extended 1 month cruise or something like that, that would be totally different. have fun! I LOVE NYC!!! they have the BEST…
  • i find that if i do cardio in the evening (even afternoon) i am wide-awake at night. it revs me up, so i do it a.m. but i'm not sure it makes a difference for weight loss.
  • i was in the dry sauna at the gym the other day, and i had my little shaker of water (it's about 10 oz) this man came in and sat down with a gallon of water and i felt horrible about myself. LOL i am just not a water drinker. glad to know there are people out there who don't think i'm a terrible person for not drinking…
  • that is great news! keep up the good work! :flowerforyou: congrats!
  • i have noticed a definite loss in that area after losing weight. i don't know of anything i am really doing intentionally, it's just coming-off that area, and my bbs.
  • you can friend me if you like. alot of my "friends" here on MFP are also in meno- or premenopause and we help each other. LCHF has been working very well for me post-meno. feel free to join us. :flowerforyou:
  • no joke! there is also a "smart razor" that helps you shave better. my son & i are always in awe of the stupid products out there! (when i mentioned the toothbrush, i was NOT promoting it! LOL)
  • they also have a toothbrush that is bluetooth and hooks up wirelessly to your phone and tells you where you have missed brushing well.
  • i love that show!!!
  • i agree with this. also, after my 10th day carb load, i will gain (example) 4 lbs. but then over the next 9 days, i will lose 6. happens every time and i love seeing that downward line!!!

  • on my 10th day, i eat anything and everything i want and i do not log at all. today i am having donuts for breakfast and it's husband's birthday, so chocolate cake with ice cream tonight. i also bought chips & bean dip. i do not log on my carb load "cheat" day.

  • this is from the past two months. definitely not linear :) :) :)
  • i am half-way to my goal, only 38 lbs to go. i'm IN for sure!! :flowerforyou:
  • i eat a specific calorie count each day with LCHF. i do that for 9 days. day 10 i eat whatever i want. repeat. works for me, have lost 35 lbs. i do call it a cheat day, or a carb load day. i am not really cheating, though. ;)
