I had good luck with it years ago, no weight gain, and am considering trying it again for my anxiety. I am so glad you posted this question. Thank you.

I had vodka and soda -- and a beer yesterday. At least it was not a bottle of wine. Today I am going for lemon water instead of any other alcoholic beverages.

I will send you a request. I want to comment more on here. It really helps! Great job on your weight loss!

I understand completely and admire your tenacity to visualize what you really want the most. Good for you for abstaining from that wine!

I'm in. I really need to reduce, as this is how I have sabotaged my weight loss.

This is a battle with your mind. I've been there. I've sat in my car at the gym dreading Body Pump class. Once I am there doing the exercises, I feel proud that I just pushed through that wave of doubt. It's a wave. You can ride it and get through it. That feeling is temporary. Keep your eyes on the prize.

Wow, that is amazing and absolutely inspiring!

Well, today should be fun. Dealing with some news about which I have conflicted feelings (widowed father's eventual engagement). Will try not to numb my feelings with excess food or drink today. The food part I think I can handle because I have no appetite at the moment. Are you all challenged by day-to-day issues that…

Mine is to get below 150 (I am 5'1"). Reading many posts and interacting is so motivating. I can do this. I also made a list of rewards at various weight-loss points. My first one is a big one to get me started: new cross-trainers.

I hope today is a brighter day for you. I understand how you feel. I was just thinking about all those extra calories and how if we resist using them for that purpose (alcohol), think of the treats we can apply those calories toward instead. I had some insomnia last night so made a list of little rewards for different…

Ask yourself each day how you can improve from the day before. I agree that routines are key. I am in a similar boat -- 155 and looking to get down to 122. I am 5'1". Feel free to add.

Team A! Thanks for this.

I'm in. This is a good routine to have. I agree that it is relaxing.

Count me in as one who'd like to reduce intake of alcohol. :)

I just started up with Body Pump again yesterday. Love it but definitely need a day of rest in between sessions. This new release is great.

I love this. Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I have noticed that I have finally retained the habit of tracking. Now I want to more consistently retain that calorie deficit. I do feel more hopeful thanks to testamonies like yours. In reading your post, I know that is what I love about this plan -- it is not…

Drinking coffee and thinking about my plan for the day.

Feel free to add me. I am 43 years old, the mother of two, and my goal is to lose 30 pounds. I have a ways to go but finally have a handle on tracking.

Welcome! I understand about the marathon versus sprint. I have finally accepted that this weight will not come off overnight, and that is OK. It at least gives me time to build better habits. Good for you for taking the step to reclaim your body. You got this!

Not much, mostly preparing for my family's trip to Florida to see my dad. I will be packing healthy lunches for the trip, though. Oh, my neighborhood has a fireworks display that night. I may go to that.
