I do cardio warm ups and cools downs when I weight train. I just log the cardio part as: it isn't necessarily accurate & weight lifting doesn't burn that many calories, but only logging the cardio gives me buffer if I overestimate the cardio calories. Not sure how your training is set up, ask your trainer for advice on how…

That was the only flaw... Nice, sweet, gentleman, sense of humor....and a slender 3". I just couldn't.

That's perfectly normal. No one starts out great, it's a learning process. Congratulations on starting, by simply doing that you are already way ahead of most people.

That's awesome!!!!! Nothing wrong with checking yourself out, you've definitely earned it.
-
And that's why I recommended finding a trainer.... That specializes in bodybuilding.

1. Pockets with zippers!!!! Real pockets too! 2. Workout pants that are cuffed at the ankles (hard to find) 3. Longer tank tops 4. Sports bras with zippers, removing them after a workout shouldn't be a workout 5. Shorts that run mid thigh: 99% are either booty shorts or come to the knees. 6. Drawstrings!!!! Seriously,…

Both depending on my workout. Sometimes I'm just famished and have a protien shake while making myself a meal.

Go to the juniors department at nicer department stores. Much more conservative styles, including nice blouses and actual trousers, not just denims. Also, for a nice pair of demins go online Levi's sizes thiers by waist size and the 501 line are 100% cotton and fit true to size (ie NOT skinny jeans) (Macy's, Nordstrom's…

Teriyaki beef with green beans Per serving: 4 oz thinly sliced beef 3/4 cup fresh (or frozen) green beans 1/4 onion 1/4 cup teriyaki marinade Marinade the beef in teriyaki sauce (minus one teaspoon) for about 30 minutes. Pan fry the onions and green beans until "tender crisp" or how ever you prefer. Set aside. Drain…

Well duh. Basically it states that metabolic health is key to knowing overall health status. BMI is very inaccurate, particularly with athletes. Example: Dwayne Johnson (the Rock), his weight has put him into "obese" but metabolically he is healthy. It then states that simply because one does not have current health issues…

I only recently realized that when I walk my thighs don't hike my shorts to my crotch - I no longer have to yank them back in place every 5 minutes.

The Unabridged Oxford English Dictionary in Hardcover: the twenty volume set. Don't read it (unless you really want to), just carry it around all day. Just eat fewer calories (preferably in mostly nutritious food) than you use during the day, you'll lose fat.

So quit having cheat meals. Instead, prelog your meals, then rearrange your daily diet to fit the "cheat meal" in... Example: burger & fries for dinner, grilled chicken on spinach salad for breakfast, and lunch! Then I'm still under my recommended calories for the day, and it's not a "cheat meal".

BUT ... At least now you have a chance to outrun the police officer. (Why cardio is important)

Be patient. The less excess fat you have to lose, the harder it is to lose it. If you are eating healthy and exercizing - you're healthy, and even if seems like an eternity to lose those last few pounds, at minimum you are truly healthy: and that is what matters most.

1. Don't say anything. Prove the wrong with actions, and still say nothing. 2. Move out! Seriously, no matter how much I love my family, some members are toxic. Your relationship with your parents sounds just like that. It's perfectly normal to love someone and not like them. Especially family. 3. Be patient. This will…

I hate cut flowers. They are dead, to me that's just morbid.

Question: Probably an obvious answer... But; When lifting sometimes I go to failure on a lift but not for the main part I'm working, but associated muscle. Example on a barbell or T-bar row, my biceps give out well before my back. Recently, what I've been doing is increasing bicep work from twice a week to three times with…

I do cardio and a lot of weight lifting. It's weird, as in just 5 months I've been told "you look younger!" more than a couple times. Being a little older sometimes my knees are just not happy running, but years of hauling kids, groceries, scrubbing the house....weight lifting comes easy. Also, weight training helps build…

As above poster mentioned taking pictures will help. Once a month, it'll let you see changes in your body even if the scale isn't. Also, measure yourself. Use a tape measure and measure your biceps, forarms, chest, waist, hips, thighs, and calves. Once a month do it again. Again, this will show your true progress. We're…

"Nice form with that weight!" While working on my back.

Well, the best advice is to find a trainer that specializes in bodybuilding. It's not cheap, but worth every penny!!! A good one will take a look at your diet & workout habits and your goals, then tweek from there. Don't worry about finding one locally, there are plenty of good ones that can help you online.

I would just force myself to show up. At first I had no plan so I just walked on the treadmill. After a while going to the gym just became part of my daily routine.
-
Well, as you do need a rest day to build muscle. As long as you continue with your lifting and are simply adding cardio for a cut, I see no issue with it. Cardio ruining gains is broscience BS, it's when you stop lifting that you start losing muscle mass.
