I think the key for sustainable weight loss is to still incorporate foods you love ve within your calorie budget. Healthy/unhealthy... can you fit it within your calorie goal? I eat a small portion of sweets each day. I find days to schedule in some Taco Bell or a slice of pizza. At a restaurant I might split a meal with…

Nope. You're just fine. Do you feel okay? Macros percentages are a guide, but not a requirement unless you're doing a special diet.

For me just a simple deficit works well. I incorporate food I enjoy so I don't feel deprived. I have read that you won't be able to gain muscle while eating at a deficit, so you might have to work on losing first, then on muscle building. But that won't stop you from weight training while you lose weight since it is an…

So you're 125 now? Congratulations, that's really good! You don't have much more to go slow it will likely be slower. Do you log and measure your food? If not, that might be the key to getting those last few pounds down.

Hi there! I sit at a desk all day long, but I have a FitBit and really try to get up and move around as much as possible. I walk during my lunch break. But the have to set an alarm or I might get wrapped up in stuff and let time speed by. What has your experience been like so far?
-
How tall are you and what is your goal weight?
-
I sure do
-
Please keep us updated - I would love to hear of your progress!
-
I think the main question is.... Are you measuring what you are logging? If so, how? (Scale vs. measuring cups). If someone is concerned that they are no longer losing weight, then making sure logging is as accurate as possible if the first step.

If you set your goal to lose 2 lbs a week, then you should be able to eat the entire 1870 and still lose 2 lbs a week. Which would achieve 8 lbs in 4 weeks. Plus, i assume you are not logging and eating back your exercise calories. I know you feel pressure to lose this weight in a short time frame, but please don't hurt…

I do buy low-sodium foods and track my sodium intake here in MFP, but I do like the taste of salted food - which I have been avoiding. Now I can have low-sodium and a little salt on my food.
-
I would let MFP do the math for you. Go into your dietary profile, enter your statistics and goals, then it will give you a calorie goal before exercise.
-
Yes! This can of protein powder I have says 1 scoop (28g). I would weigh it rather than just rely on the scoop. There are some great YouTube videos that show someone measuring something in a measuring cup then weighing it - the results are eye opening.
-
I'll have to look for that!
-
Except that he's not losing weight. But yes, 1400 for a male is :'(
-
Do you know if acetaminophen has the same effect?
-
I really want to be able to post photos to my feed from my iPhone - I would pay for that feature. Android can, but not my poor iOS :(
-
As long as you follow the deficit that MFP sets - you really don't have to worry about exercise, so just do what is fun and engaging for you.
-
Why do you have a time frame? Do you have an upcoming procedure?

I think is mostly referring to eating back exercise calories. If you properly set your goals in MFP and eat those calories, then you should lose weight.
-
That is what I have done. I put it at Sedentary and eat back some calories until I'm satisfied. I'm fairly active, but with the occasional day that I'm stuck at my desk on the phone - I don't want to overeat.
-
I don't have much to offer (the scale itself was my first suspicion), but I'm glad you're making a doctor's appointment and please report back in with us after. Now I'm worried for you!
-
I would suggest pre-logging and pre-packing all of your food, then spacing it out over your work time. Do you have a refrigerator at work? What are your shift times?
-
I still eat sweets. I just make sure it fits within my calories for the day.
-
Good thought, I will try that experiment next!
-
Have you asked your doctor these questions? It is exactly what he/she is there for. You shouldn't even have to make an appointment. I leave voicemails for my child's pediatrician and she returns the call with my answer. Also, you don't have to walk for miles and miles, but even just a little bit of walking if helpful.…

Potato chips!

Ahh, thank you. That is what I figured, but I wanted to ask before I made assumptions and potentially logged something incorrectly. Must have been a strange coincidence that both of them weighed almost spot on in their containers :)

Either way, although I'll think you'll see more regular updates if we just keep this thread. I keep forgetting groups exist :o
