WooHooo!! Congratulations!!

You are on a forum asking people for their opinions.....

I also had a Crazy Weekend! 3 days of debauchery and gained 3 lbs when I weighed on Monday - now, Wednesday morning have actually lost a little from pre-weekend. You may surprise yourself. Get back on that scale and start tracking for food :)
-
If you don't need to worry about sodium: Frozen meals or canned soup. Sandwiches are also very quick to make.
-
I also use the Happy Scale app, but I hear there is one called Libra as well. Seeing the overall trend is so much more encouraging and teaches me that the fluctuations are nothing to be scared of :)

I am still working on losing my baby weight... nearly 6 years after the fact :o I am more than willing to support you!
-
He needs to fix the fact that he's logging incorrectly rather than just using grams as a workaround :)

Maybe try some yoga as it can be gentle on your body and help relieve some of the stress you are feeling. As with @TheWJordinWJordin - I am also losing weight without intentional exercise, so please be compassionate to yourself and start simply.
-
That sounds fantastic! And the yoga class may help you relieve some of the stress symptoms you've been experiencing. Wishing you the best!

No, he's saying that if you are genuinely eating 1200kcal you WOULD be losing weight. You should start weighing and logging your food to ensure that you are not unintentionally eating more than 1200kcal.

Fair enough, thank you. I realize I am generalizing. (And I have done keto in the past) I see many, many Keto threads where people are so focused on the macros with no mention at all of a calorie deficit - as if they can lose weight purely by certain macros. That's where my mention of "magic" comes in. OP had questions…

I just don't buy the cookies. For me, it's donuts or potato chips. If they are in the house, they are gone, so I just don't buy them. ETA: A very clear shopping list is my key. If it's not on the list I don't buy it. It really keeps me from impulse buying.

I keep getting woo'd for this, but seriously... a keto diet is not some magical way to lose weight. Following a keto diet... with a calorie deficit... will help you lose weight. But ANY kind of diet structure, with a calorie deficit, will do it. If the OP is "at a total loss" I want to make sure she knows that a simple…

I am 5' 8" and my goal weight is 155.

Be gentle with yourself. Getting all four wisdom teeth taken out is a trauma that your body is healing from. I'm sure it will even out soon.

^^THIS^^ My son is 6 and also on ADHD meds on top of already being a picky eater. He eats more in the AM and in the evening, but always skips lunch (the school can't force him to eat...). We feed him Pediasure right before bed (then brush his teeth and make sure he pees ;) ). I find that not only do the ADHD meds suppress…

I would strongly advise not making this too complicated. You don't need to worry about Macros at this point. Enter your stats and goals into MFP, let it tell you how many calories to eat, then track your food to ensure you stay in a deficit. Eat what you like, in moderate portions that fit into your calorie budget.
-
I agree with this method to a point. If a child has any medical issues that might complicate it, then you just need to feed your child even if it means cooking a separate meal.
-
GI issues and gaining all the lost water weight back immediately.

Threads with argumentative, non-receptive OPs are my favorite entertainment threads. Where'd she go??
-
I think, anything you wouldn't normally eat, but do "because" you want to lose weight. For me it would be.... low-carb tortillas or non-fat, artificially sweetened desserts. I imagine it would be different for everyone.
-
Improper macros are NOT going to make you gain weight if you are truly eating at a deficit. But to answer your original question - No, you do not need to exercise to lose weight. I walk about 10k steps a day and ensure I am eating at a deficit and I lose about 1.5 lbs a week. No other intentional exercise, because I just…
-
I honestly don't worry about my Macros at all. I just try to stay under my calorie goal and keep moving. I feel that the less complicated something is, the more I will stick to it, and the more successful I will be.

I love this thread so much! This is genuinely inspiring. As a whole, I want to be able to enjoy life and eat delicious food. I have no intuitive sense of portion control for those delicious foods and drinks. It is nice to have the perspective of the weight loss journey still including all those delicious experiences, but…

True, very true. So what are your expectations from this thread? Because this is a forum of (mostly) non-professionals who are here to offer opinions. The thread title is "Weird Symptoms/Calorie Deficit." Yes, and if you want opinions about why you are experiencing Weird Symptoms, people need to know more details to be…

^^THIS, so this^^ A keto diet is really not a magic pill.

I had lunch with one of them yesterday. She ate fried chicken tacos, looks amazing, and can still fit into her senior prom dress at 40.

Hi there. I've been following your story and even read through the thread again. I'm not trying to pick on you, but I did see a trend of responses like, "I've already tried that", "That didn't work", "I can't try that right now", "I know that probably right, but...." Again, not trying to pick on you, but to highlight that…
