I have 2 ages 4 and 5, and I work full-time. Yes, it can be a challenge because sometimes I'm so exhausted that I gravitate towards 'easy' or 'comfort' rather than healthy. I don't bother to do intentional exercise. I just wear my FitBit and try to get up and move whenever I can at work. I also pre-plan the family menus,…

1/4c vanilla flavored Silk Soy milk. Just the right creamy for my coffee and a touch of sweetness

Oh my goodness, THIS!

YES! And Amy's Frozen Enchiladas. One package has 2 enchiladas (a nice little frozen lunch), but the calories listed are only for 1 enchilada! Got to keep those eyes sharp :)

I have mine open and luckily I haven't gotten any negative comments. I eat what I eat, I don't eat totally clean, but maybe I can give someone else on how to manage their days.

It's currently messing with me right now. I am so bloated I FEEL 5 lb heavier :(
-
Maybe because, with the tub, there is no external mechanism that says, "Done," like there is when you finish that fudgesicle. I have the same experience with potato chips. Buy a big bag - it's all gone. Buy the individual bags and I'm satisfied with just one.

Some of us are starting over again... again. Don't worry - you're not alone!

Ice cream every day! B)

Wow, I didn't realize Human Soul was so low cal! Good to know :D

And lots of steps walking around the zoo!

Maybe purchase something light for breakfast in the morning and keep it in the hotel mini-fridge. Yogurt and fruit or something? Then you may worry less about lunch and dinner. When eating out I tend to cut my meal in half and bring the rest home. Since I can't do that when out of town I try to order from the appetizer…

The only thing I am trying to communicate is that people who walk more than 10k steps a day, every day (as I stated before), are not actually sedentary. So many reasonably active people feel like they are sedentary and are terrified to eat any of the adjustment back. They wonder why they feel starving and then eventually…

This is me exactly. However, I still find tracking calories a positive experience for me as it helps me become much more mindful about what I'm eating, and I enjoy the eating experience more.

How do you 'know' for sure you are definitely burning 1850? Has this been professionally tested or just based on your TDEE? Your resting heart rate compared to your moving heart rate might actually indicate that you burn that much. I know that when I get 10k steps in a causal, running errands manner vs. 10k steps taking a…

As suggested before, if your FitBit is that inaccurate, then you should call FitBit tech support. It does your data nerdery no good if you have a flawed device.
-
Yes it is, and I provided the links if you had read any of my other posts. Sedentary = less than 5000 steps Low Active = 5-7999 steps Somewhat Active = 8-9999 steps Active = 10-12,499 steps Highly Active = 12,500+ steps https://www.verywell.com/how-many-pedometer-steps-per-day-are-enough-3432827 This is one link but many…

Then it sounds like you have a bum FitBit and you should call tech support. Most of the Fitbit population reports that the Fitbit is very accurate.
-
As I mentioned previously in thread, you probably have MFP and FitBit set at different goals. If the two apps don't match, then FitBit WILL try to give you back more calories than you need.
-
No, because I find them both icky. I'd rather have a smaller portion of real ice cream.
-
Honestly, I have small "junky" treats everyday and I'm losing weight just fine. Calories are calories. Just a little ice cream or chocolate (and I mean the real stuff - none of this fake ice cream for me) keeps me from feelings completely deprived and binging on a huge amount later. I do realize, however, that a little of…

I think OP meant this as a place where people can vent a little then "let go and move on."

The Cheesecake Factory lists calories in the menu and it is sooooo useful, so I tend to choose there over other places. But just don't look at the calories in a slice of cheesecake
-
Lack of sleep seriously messes me up too!
-
@Allibaba A chihuahua AND kittens? Dang what a night of cuteness!!
-
OP also started a thread "500 calories a day" asking about how to eat more than 500 calories a day....
-
Yes, or the settings don't match the MFP settings and it gives back too many calories. If you have MFP set to a 750 deficit and FitBit to a 250 deficit (and maybe dont even realize they're out of sync), then someone will get back way more calories, because FitBit thinks they have a smaller deficit.

I just have to say that I am 5' 8" and 146 is by NO MEANS chubby.... It's well within a healthy BMI. What's your goal weight?
-
Let's see... 1st goal - take off the 15 "stress pounds" I gained over the last 6 months now that the stress is gone. 4 lbs left - Yay! 2nd goal is to get under my dreaded 173 where I usually stall out during weight loss. 3rd goal is to slowly chew away at the final 18 lbs in (roughly) 5 lb increments.

I know we're supposed to be Chill here, but.... are you sure? Most all of your days are under 900 calories. Are you sure you're feeling okay? Are you exercising on top of that? If you say you feel good, then I won't be your nagging Mommy - just checking in ;-)
