  • Birth control doesn't make you gain weight, it can just increase appetite and cause SLIGHT water retention (2-4 lbs). Weigh and log your food, stay in a deficit, and moderate cravings food so that it fits in your calorie limit and you're well on your way to success!
  • @Tacklewasher did you mean per week?
  • This is nonsense. Your metabolism is ALWAYS running, it doesn't need a "jump start." Over an EXTENDED period of maintaining a deficit, you might experience *some* effects of adaptive thermogenesis but that just means that your body is running *efficiently* and you need to eat a little less to keep it fueled, but it's…
  • This is the stuff that I use too. Quick note, if you go to Home Goods, they sell these for half price. I literally have a pantry shelf full of different flavors at this point.
  • Hey! It depends on how big your cup is. I was straight up using 10 TABLEspoons when I first started logging, but I was using BIIIIIIIG travel mugs. And I could easily have two of those a day.
  • I'm definitely not on keto. Add me if you'd like.
  • I bought an espresso maker and make lattes with fat free milk and 0 calorie flavor syrups. It helps a LOT, because it's still coffee, it's still caffeine, but it's also mostly air.
  • I am dying. I am crying. That's an oyster. I can't with this. Ima get fired for laughing this hard at work.
  • I third this. Weigh all dry, weigh all cooked. If 1/4 of your dry pasta was 2 oz, then 1/4 of your cooked pasta will be your serving.
  • Okay, literally the title of the video is "GOMAD - it's probably not for you". The quote earlier in my post is "teenage boys in search of a big squat, bench, deadlift and a beefy frame." That's obviously not OP. My original comment was that other people noticed the macros but it's boring and bland. Everyone on here is…
  • Nope. Whole milk PLUS maintenance calories in food. It's a very SPECIAL set of circumstances that lends itself to gallon of milk drinking. • Thank you for the kind words of encouragement! This group has been pretty instrumental in keeping me accountable, if not always on track. Thank you for everything that you and @goblue1981 do!
  • I like this post. It's funny and witty and I'm sending you a friend request.
  • Side note: isn't it fitting that PI DAY is my Fativersary?
  • Yup. Much harder to make healthier decisions too.
  • So how much higher is your caloric intake?
  • HAVE you been tracking your calories over the last three months AS WELL AS the last 48 hrs? IMO you're either more dehydrated or you ate less sodium. Have you been drinking during your IF?
  • not short or long term, just goals: 1 push up 1 pull up a front/back split
  • I'm on the side of SOME chiropractors being amazing and insightful and helpful and healthful. Others, however, are quaks out to get your money. It's well worth investing the time to find a good one.
  • The success stories board is the best! Some of the threads are SO long and filled with AMAZING transformations! Welcome to the forums and I hope we can help make a difference in your weight loss journey!
  • Definitely not the night before. You don't want to be stuck in the bathroom during the whole shoot. Also that's pretty unrealistic. You can possibly lose 2 lbs if you REALLY closely log and it ain't gonna happen at 1,600 cals. Just don't do it.
  • Possibly. I've honestly been averaging about a pound lost every month for the last six months or so, but I ramped up my work outs a LOT during that time. I wish I'd measured more :(
  • Thank you! I was really worried that it was going to be too sappy. I *dream* of being a pinned post one day :D @HDBKLM you never fail to FLOOR me with your kindness. <3 Huge shout out to everyone who liked or commented on my post. Ya'll are so incredibly sweet - This is why I love this community!
  • @emcclure013 I bought it at a vintage shop in Austin for like $7..... then I busted ALL OF THE SEAMS last year, trying to get it on. I've literally hand sewn it back together because every single seam on the bust, waist, and arms broke.
  • I'm not down 80 but I've been juggling the same 5 pounds since October of last year. I feel you! Here's to hoping that the spring/fall season will bring success!
  • Blaze pizza is having $3.14 personal pizzas today!
  • mark rippetoe recommends a gallon of milk a day for those who are bulking. But even he realizes that that is rather boring.
  • Quick note: today is my Fativersary! A year ago I stepped on the scale to my highest weight (266.5) and started logging food that same day. I did not meet my goal of 52 lbs in 52 weeks, but I'm darn proud of my 45.1 lbs. I know that I will never be that heavy again, largely due to the impact of this community. I did not…
  • Username: aeloine Weigh in Week: Week 2 Weigh in Day: Wednesday Last Week’s weight: 223.6 This week: 221.4
  • Today is my Fativersary! One year ago today I weighed in at my highest weight and started logging. The SV is that I'm down from last year; the NSV is that I'm here, one year later, with no plans to quit! Sticking it out hasn't been very difficult, and has truly become second nature. I love and appreciate all of you on…
