I don’t know if I have pcos, but I did notice that my periods came earlier for a couple months, so keto most definitely does something to our hormones. After the first few months, they regulated and I have had less bleeding and less cramps. I have also noticed that my skin is less oily and I have less clogged pores. I have…

I also lost a lot my first 3 weeks (water weight), then it was really slow for a few weeks (like maybe .5 pound a week). I remember be disappointed. After that, it ended up being 1-2 pounds a week. I’d give it a few more weeks before getting worried. Also... if you’re working out, you could be gaining muscle.

Thanks for all your replies. I’ve been wondering for a while now if my lack of energy could be related to eating more carbs. Sounds like it very well could be! I guess I’m gonna have to try going back to strict keto to see if I feel better. Darn! I was enjoying eating more fruit!

Definitely always check sauces and dressings. Many of them have a lot more sugar than you’d expect. Also... yogurt... some are very low in sugar, while others have a ton.

How long have you been eating lchf? I had this problem for about the first month and a half, then everything just balanced out on its own. I didn’t change anything, and have not had any problems since. I think our bodies just need time to adjust.

I would recommend a ketogenic diet and a cod liver oil/ butter oil supplement. This has helped me immensely. I suffer from back pain, knee pain, and bloating/ stomach issues. Cutting out the sugar and carbs and eating more fat has lessened this a lot... my back is much better, my knee doesn’t even bother me, and I have…

I took Wellbutrin... it made me not want to drink alcohol at all, but didn’t really affect my appetite for very long. It also made me kind of tremble and stutter my speech sometimes. It was really freaky, so I stopped taking it. I would recommend a ketogenic diet. This has suppressed my appetite more than anything ever…

Cook some chicken each week and shred it... you can use it so many ways. Lots of protein!

It took me a good 2 MONTHS to feel good on keto! Although I did eat a horrible diet full of carbs, sugar, processed, and fast foods prior to starting. Eating keto is a big change for most of us, and our bodies need time to adjust. Also... make sure you are both eating enough and getting your electrolytes.

I had diarrhea too in the beginning. I even had it off and on for the first 2 months, but not at all since then. I did eat a terrible, super sugary diet before starting keto. I think that was a big part of it... sometimes our bodies just need to adjust.

You need to find what works for you... I like to just snack all day long... some eat only once or twice a day... So, i say... just eat when you’re hungry. Eating 20 net carbs (total carbs - fiber) is an easy way to start if you want to be in ketosis. Otherwise, just choose a carb amount to stay under. Low carb protein…

I get these 100% cheese “crackers” called “Parmcrisps” from Sam’s Club. 0 carbs... Super crunchy and yummy :)

Hi... I’ve just very recently been told about POTS. I have not been diagnosed, but I think I may have this. I’ve always just been diagnosed with anxiety, but I feel it is more than that. I will send you a friend request :)

Ive been doing keto/ LCHF for over 4 months. I did 20 net carbs until I reached my goal weight, now I stay under 50 total grams. It has worked very well for me. I find it to be more sustainable than other diets because cutting out sugar cuts out cravings. I definitely have days where I go over my carbs or calories, but I…

Some Greek yogurts have very low sugar. I eat Chobani plain (6g carbs, 4g sugar). I add in fresh berries, and walnuts. Fage plain is also low on carbs and sugar.

First... stop eating all that sugar!!! That makes you feel like crap. Then... just drive yourself to the gym. Even if you don’t want to go... just do it. I had to force myself to go in the beginning. I would just go to the gym 3 days a week. Even if I only worked out for 10 minutes, or just sat in the sauna... at least I…

Thanks for all the replies! I think I’m going to try staying under 40g total carbs this next week. Maybe jumping right up to 50g was too much. Having any higher carb foods in the evening also makes sense. I do that with my sugar free jello because sweeteners tend to make me want to eat more too.
-
I used them in the beginning. I found them to be very motivating.

Only if it will pay for free healthcare.

I do notice that artificial sweeteners (aspartame mainly) make me crave more sweets. I try to stay away from them as much as possible.
-
Beef jerky... peanut or nut butters with celery... low carb bars or shakes. Parmcrisps would be great too... I get them at Sam’s Club, they are straight Parmesan cheese chips, and have no carbs.
-
Chobani plain has only 6g of carbs.

I’ve been doing keto for about 3.5 months, and I didn’t feel so great either for about the first 2 months. Now i feel awesome! I’ve lost 26 lbs. Try to stick with it, and be sure you’re getting enough electrolytes. Also, be sure that you’re not eating too many calories, they still count! I sent you a friend request.

I sent you a friend request... You just need to stick with it, and maybe tweak your way of eating a little if what you’re doing doesn’t work for you (or isn’t something you can stick to in the long run). I’ve tried all kinds of diets over the years, but have never been able to stick with it. I’ve finally found one that…

I’ve been doing keto for a little over 3 months. I’ll add you :)

Add me! I’m... 5’6” 36 yrs old CW- 130 GW- 125 I’m about at my goal weight, but have yet to start exercising... I definitely need some more motivation for that!

I have degenerative disk disease, a bone spur on my lower spine, as well as pain in my right knee. I’ve been doing keto for a little over 3 months (lost 25 pounds), and it’s helped tremendously. I’ve also been taking cod liver oil daily. I haven’t started exercising yet, but when I did in the past, I remember the pain was…

I was like this all of my life until I started eating a low carb/ high fat diet. Now... I find that I am hungrier in the mornings, and rarely want to eat in the evenings. Sometimes, I’m even turned off by the thought of eating at night.

Hard liquor (non-flavored). Has no carbs, and not too many calories. Drink it straight, or mix with club soda. Drinking like this has not stalled my weight loss.

Sugar free jello... Make it plain or with half and half. It fills me up when I’m having cravings... or just feel like eating extra.
