Good question, hadn't thought about that yet. There are certain dishes/delicacies that I only eat around Christmas, and I will still have those. You can pry the Béarnaise sauce from my cold, dead hands, thankyouverymuch. I will log, but not worry too much since it is an unusual event. My real downfall around this time of…

I'll send you a friend request so we can help each other :-)

I make a wrap with a ready-bought whole wheat tortilla. Super easy! For instance: - 1 whole wheat wrap, 40 grams of houmous, red bell pepper & cucumber sticks, 20 grams of sprouts like alfalfa. About 200/250 calories (depends on the size of the tortilla), you can make it in a few minutes, surprisingly filling, it keeps so…

Maybe ask your doctor about a blood-test for vitamin D and iron? A lack of those can cause feelings of anxiety too.

That is really encouraging to hear! (the hourglass, not the undiagnosed issues, heh) I think that right now I'm just still too fat to tell. When I was slimmer it was also an apple-shape, but not in an alarming way. I'm trying to lose a whole bunch now and after that I will talk to my doctor about it. I'm really happy for…

Done! :-)

Lol, I do have a roundish face too. But I like to think that this is the reason people usually think I'm at least a decade younger then I actually am. Fat = no wrinkles. The only good part of it for us, hahaha
-
Thanks for your suggestion. :-) I am going to try this for sure!

Yes! And you know what? I have a feeling it will be down to the final grams, heh. Like if I am a 100 grams overweight, THAT is where it will be, a tiny hill around my navel.

Ahhhh, if only we could balance it out between us, hahaha

I've added you, ms. potato :-D

Lol, too funny! And might be even a better description, hehe

Lol, I worry about this too. And then I worry that I should start saving rubber bands so that I can tie up my excess skin with it later, hahaha. But feeling better would be a great goal. :-)

My waist measurement is the only thing that isn't moving. But the rest is, so the difference is even more pronounced now. :-0

OMG, yes, the dreaded sideways turn. From the front I look pretty nice if I say so myself, but the sideway-view always shocks even me, and I've known I look like this for god knows how long, hahaha

Sure! The more the merrier :-)

Yes. Isn't it frustrating that after all that work you did, the proportions are still not what you might want them to be, or you only achieve it after a disproportionate amount of work? Gosh. It's not the worst problem to have in the world obviously, but it doesn't feel very fair either. Good for you for reshaping what can…

This is good advice. I've often wondered if there was an 'extra' issue. But since I've been overweight for quite a while, the advice is always to just lose weight to begin with. Once I have kitten-arms (aren't those paws, hehe) & still have the same problem I will certainly go in again! PS: Too funny about her gaining it…

Yes, and not being able to control that is daunting to say the least. I was never known for my patience. :-) I do have a goalweight that is about 5 kg above a good BMI, so I guess I'll still have some wiggle-room (or should I say wobble room) after reaching that!

Sure, as long as you promise not to make me cry. :-)

I second the tunic/legging idea, and completely agree with seltzermints jacket advice. I've been doing this too for work and it's working out very well. Just get one smart black jacket (or for work a few black blouses) that is still too small and wear it open for a while. By the time the cold hits you will hopefully be…

Love this thread! :-) Today when I applied bodylotion I noticed my belly is significantly smaller. This is a huge deal for me because I am a classic apple-shape and my belly is very large (not just a cute tummy that sticks out a bit, it literally looks like I'm pregnant). So it means a lot to me that it has really reduced,…

Feel free to add me too. Love your username. :-)

Ah, this is my problem too. I was about 250 when I started (now 230) and losing through diet is not as hard as I thought it would be. But I just get bored really quickly when I do plain exercises. It feels like a really annoying chore, so I don't do it as much as I'd like to. I'm trying to solve it by walking as much as…

Just trying to help Daisy. Sorry you're taking it the wrong way. I'll leave this thread now, again I wish you all the happiness possible. -)

With 51 kg for 1.60 you are underweight, so it's no wonder you're hungry. :-) PHd work is incredibly stressful. There have been reports that over 40% suffer from depression (google it). You are in a highly competitive field where a few years of incredible hard work will determine your future or perhaps failure. That is…

Hey ek0513. :-) Your problem regarding your sister might not entirely be weight-related. Google 'Scapegoat/Golden child'. It's not an unfamiliar family dynamic and yes, it is real. Experienced it myself. It's not your fault or even your sisters, it's just the way some families operate. I have found that a lot of people I…
