I try to cut out all unnecessary carbs. Which to me are ones you don't taste much because of what you eat it with. You got this Joe! And WOD is right, it's a journey and there will be ups and downs. Just remember who you are and why you are doing this. And don't look at this as a diet, it's a lifestyle change. To me, diet means temporary. When you have serious health concerns, temporary just won't do!

Good for you! And the bariactric may have helped you lose more quicker but you still would have had to exercise and eat right to be successful. So you are already on your way to a healthy lifestyle! And I wouldn't even call it a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Plus you're setting a great example for your children.
