How low were your calories? Some days I don't eat enough and I get 1250~1400 calories but my goal is 1850. Do you or anyone else know how I can add more calories to my diet with good choices? I'm glad to see so many success stories of losing 50 pounds because my goal is to lose 80 and so far I've lost 9.5 pounds in 28 days…

How much have you all lost?

I drink Garden of Life raw organic meal with 20 grams of protein in it and 22 superfoods as well. It's nondairy and only 110 calories. It keeps me pretty satisfied for a while for breakfast until my first snack. Protein is important in weight loss so it's a good idea that you are trying to get a lot in your diet. But…

Thanks everyone! Just one more question: I keep reading religiously on the boards here and it says to lose weight I should not focus too much on exercise.. thoughts anyone? Lol if I don't have to exercise sign me up! Buttt if it really does help then I don't mind since my overall goal is almost 100 pound loss.

There's a berry one by Vega that isn't dairy I think it's 20g protein. I'm currently using garden of life raw organic protein as a meal replacement it is really good it keeps my appetite at a good level for a while and it has like 22 superfoods and has 20g protein and it's dairy free but kinda pricey. Not sure about toning…

I only tried garcinia for 2 days and it made me feel horrible! But I honestly think what you're doing is good enough :) if you ask anyone who has lost a lot on here (which I've asked over and over because I wasn't convinced lol) they all have the same answer: calorie deficit and counting and exercise so I'm convinced to…

Yeah on some days when i drink my meal replacement I just don't eat a lot but enough like around 1400 but my goal is 1860 so I suppose it wouldn't do harm to drink it after my 30 minute workout. For right now all I'm doing is walking and a 30 minute circuit workout on YouTube but I'll also be starting a cardio and yoga…

Oh ok I see. Thanks :)

I also read it and loved it but being a newbie here, what was off with the calories? Because I did the math and everything and was ready to adjust my diet..again lol. So if you could tell me what was wrong would help me out :)
-
What did your meals consist of in the beginning? How many calories did you have a day to start off this amazing transformation?! :)
-
Fitting into my favorite blazer again that will eventually be big on me once I pass that goal :)
-
Yeah I'm definitely going to add yoga into my schedule. Thanks for the advice :)
-
Wow everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful! :) I'm going to try my best and just count calories and stay away from obvious empty calories like sweets. I'm also starting a cardio class at school at the end of August so I'll be adding that into my diet as well! I'm just so anxious to see it all come off but I'm well aware…

All right cool :)

Thanks! I'm wondering if I start this tomorrow, by the end I'll be in school And I signed up for a cardio class with treadmill, stairs, bicycling, etc. this might sound dumb but is there such a thing as working out too much? lol because I'll be honest I have a lot to lose (80 pounds) and I think my body can handle it but…

There's a few vegetarian/vegan communities on here like Happy herbivores. I just lurk because I consider myself a flexitarian lol :/ I don't always cook my own meals as me and my mom take turns so I eat meat when she makes it. Best of luck to you :) also if you click the magnify glass type in vegan in the search bar and…

Heck yeah! That's me right there always trying to tell them no but still end up with those brown greasy bags in my backseat

This is the best thing I've read all day lol I'm literally smiling ear to ear. Losing weight is like this mythical creature to me that always seems scarier and more complex than it actually is. I've been trying to read up on so many different types of diets I just get overwhelmed that I'm going to eat the wrong thing! But…

Sounds interesting. Are there only specific times like 9-6 or 10-7? What's the latest or earliest time to do it? I'm assuming it's different for everyone due to schedules and such. Is it something to start off with when beginning a diet or incorporate it later?
-
I haven't yet! Just last week I went out for 2 whoppers after staying away for a week haha it's definitely hard when I had it for 1 (or 2 ) meals at least 6-7 days a week! I've been trying to plan my meals ahead and go to the grocery store and prep some lunches or drink a meal replacement in the morning so I know I have no…

I'm a 5'5 female at 229. I want my bmi to go down to average so I need to lose around 90! I'm trying to get out of the 200 club for my first goal then 180 for the second then 140 for the last round! It's gonna be tough! But I want it so bad. I also suffer from gallstones so I need to do this in order to avoid an emergency…

Yeah I'm gonna stick with the mfp numbers and see how it goes :) thanks everyone for your input. I didn't even let it calculate when I started I just figured 2000 is what is usually calculated on nutrition facts so I subtracted 500 but I'll see how it works out for the month. Wish me luck :sunglasses:
-
Well I followed the advice of doing it through the mfp way and got 1820 which I'm ok with. It's just hard for me to find good things to fill in that number! Lol honestly I liked 1500 because I knew I couldn't overeat or think I had extra calories to goof off but I also don't want my body to freak out if it's not enough…
-
So since it's supposed to be around 2200, have I done bad by starting at 1500?
-
Wow! I'm kind of horrible at math but if I did it right it's 2,274 calories! It seems like a lot but I guess you can eat a lot of calories by choosing the right things to eat right?
-
Is there a certain diet that has to be followed or has anyone found a diet that gives the best results while doing the 30ds?
-
Yep this is regular old Jillian! I got mine for $10 too, but some people might find that expensive if on a tight budget, especially if they can get other workouts on you tube for free. She does make more/different videos (Ripped in 30 is awesome after 30DS because it's a bit harder) but they are all about the same price.…
-
Is this the 30 day shred with Jillian or a different/specific one? Because I have one from Walmart I bought like 5 years ago but I don't know if there's different versions. Because someone said it was expensive but I got it for $10 lol. Does she make different videos?
-
Wow everyone looks great!

I have 70+ to lose but have only lost 7 so far. I'm fairly new, going 3 weeks, but would love to keep each other motivated :) and learn what you did to lose 30 pounds lol
