Hi Garber6th- While I think it is a viable solution for many. I googled it and people do die. https://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20041007/studies-weigh-risks-of-gastric-bypass-surgery#1

HI Kate- My whole family is heavy and I have been heavy most of my life, until now. I had two very close family members have bariatric surgery and they lost a good deal of weight. Even still neither have been able to keep the weight off. Over time they have been able to expand their new stomachs and gain the weight back.…

I know exactly how you feel Colorful. I have decreased my activity a little and am incorporating a few more breaks but both my eating and activity habits from my loss period and now transitioning in to maintenance are so engrained in me that I feel a little guilty if I don't hit all my marks. Bad habits made me over weight…

Hi Kathryn- I know just how you feel. I could be 300 pounds and no one would say a word and then at a normal BMI they freak out. It can be hard to ignore them. I have even asked some if they would prefer if I continued to slowly kill myself one potato chip at a time. They'll get used to the new you in time or not. But just…

Simple sugar free maple syrup almost any brand at 20 calories 1/4 cup is so much better.

Hi Kirby- I understand about not eating enough. I worked so hard to lose. I don’t want to lose more but I sure don’t want to gain either. I also tend to try to save plenty of calories to snack at night, then work out and get some more and can’t snack that much. I am forcing the issue now at eating more but here I am 7:30…

Hi- Both my treadmill and bike have my age and weight. But I am not sure how it is used if at all.

I would go with the lower estimate. But that’s just me I don’t really know what’s right in these situations.

They have a few different flavor. I have been working on the Wasabi flavor for a few days with my lunch. Pretty good actually!

Kodiak Pancakes, yep! 53 grams which is supposed to be a half a cup of powder mix and a half a cup of water makes a stack for 180 calories. Add on 30 calories of sugar free maple syrup and I am happy at just over 200 calories! I have this almost every weekend cause I can. Heck I can even have two servings if I want.

I drink lots of black coffee and have never logged it.

I grill in a pan two sweet Italian turkey sausages, 8 oz mushroom, 4 oz onions. Once the sausage is to the right temp 165F I add in the grilled mushrooms and onions. Finally I add a small can of the lowers calorie tomato sauce I can find. Simmer this stuff for a long while with spices and 15 grams of Parmesan cheese and…

Hi- You may want to investigate a cavity on a tooth or an old filling in a tooth leaking. Even if you don't have oral pain.

I go for turkey a lot. Turkey sausage, turkey bacon and sweet or hot Italian turkey sausage for dinner. I cook it up all kinds of ways, with peppers, onions, mushrooms you name it.

Glad you are here and started on this journey. You can totally do this, one day, one meal and burn one calories less then you consume at a time!

I like it a lot but am not willing to pay $5 a pint for it. I buy low cow consistently for $2.50 a pint and find it is close enough. As far as pure eating enjoyment though I would rank them as follows: #1 Enlightened #2 Breyer's Delights #3 Halo Top #4 Simple Truth Low Cow I'll eat any of the above and generally buy based…

Hi Crystal- Congrats on your engagement and setting a date. Lot's of people are going to ask you for stats and starting weight and then probably going to say your calorie goal is too low for healthy weight loss, unless you are tiny. From your photo you are going to make a lovely bride no matter what you do with your…

Hi Ben- Congrats and achieving your goals and entering maintenance. We are about the same age, height, etc... I had a few comments similar to yours about don't lose anymore weight. My mom especially. Still not sure why she would think it was better for me to kill my self one potato chip at a time versus having a healthier…

Here is a link so you can find where to buy. https://www.simpletruth.com/products/maple-pecan-baked-puffs/ I have never seen these but want to try them now. I love puffs! Maple pecan is such a unique flavor too, thanks for review. I will be sure to pick up if I find them.[/quote]

Jus tried the maple ones. At 120 cal for 28 grams they are amazing. And the bag cost $1.69. If you have ever had Bucee bites these are almost as good. My son says Bucee bits are a 10 out of 10 and these are a solid 9. Not bad considering Bucee bites are about $6 for half as much.

@sijomial my age sure feels relevant to me. By the way my wattage meter is usually well above 100, at A resistance of 13 on my bike I am at bout 120 watts. That said my Apple iWatch also logs calories for the same session is usually at about 1/3 rds of what the bike's computer says. I assume the watch is based on heart…

If you have one cup of each for two cups total you get 400 + 150 = 550. If is a half cup each for one cup of liquid you get 200 + 75 = 275 for one cup. If If you mix a cup of each, as in two cups, well and drink 1/4 cup of the mix you get 4/550 or 550 X 0.25 for 137.5.

Mine measures watts and calories burned based on watts, weight age and time. I still don’t believe it.
