If sugar is the devil then why are hospitalized patients who have to be on IV nutrition fed dextrose? You should boycott all those hospitals. Don't fall for click bait BS OP

yeah im trying it again next session. I didnt practice hook more because at that time mixed grip was a better option which i had not yet tried. But now that im seeing issues withe the mixed grip, I have no option but to practice hook grip, or straps.

Yeah i found lots of articles too on why mixed grip could be dangerous for elbow/bicep/shoulder. Didnt give much thought to it, now I do. I tried hook grip for 1 rep once, thumbs didnt like it one bit. Jordan Feigenbaums 4000 word article on deadlift grip: https://startingstrength.com/article/the-grip-problem His advice in…

I deadlift once or twice a week max. I think I will use left hand supine for the next 2-3 weeks, and then start switching every deadlift session (i only do 1 working set of 5 on a given day). I think I will also add an arm day to make it 4 days of gym a week, and work on forearms and biceps/triceps (because i feel they are…

Update: I have been using mixed grip (only right hand supine) for a couple of months for my highest set. have reached 230lbs for sets of 5 without grip giving away. However, i notice that my right shoulder health is deteriorating because of the supination. Hence, ill have to figure something else. ie. use hook grip, use…

Been a month of no logging and I have ended up maintaining, which is my goal. So that's a win.

eat whatever you feel like.

Sl5x5 starts out easy and takes less time but now my sessions are around 1hr30min (2.5months into the programme)

What the 3 people above me said..

Only you can motivate yourself. No one else can. Maybe speak to a therapist?
-
How old are you?
-
Just ensure that the program asks you to add weight every session or every week. The warm up with bar and then straight to 65% might work initially when weights are low but its too much of a gap when the final weights are higher a couple of months down the line. Im not knowledgeable enough to comment about the rest.

When the concentration of sodium goes up in the cells and tissues (not only blood), those cells store more water through a process called osmosis. Osmosis is the movement of solvent (water) from a less concentrated solution to a more concentrated solution through a semi permeable membrane (most of the body). When you…

I get this. Do what makes you feel good.

Thanks. I will try vaping again. I do have one, dont remember why i stopped using it. I have a major willpower issue.

No. It is 101% impossible for a younger guy to be stronger than an older guy. I mean, why would you even ask this question. Its common sense.

Open your mfp diary and show it to her every time she asks. Or, you could start spamming her email with screenshots of your diary everyday.
-
Yup. Add around 300-700 calories daily to your current intake and slow the loss down. Your lifts might improve.

Ive lost 8kg, am 76kg at 5'11 now. Ive decided to quit weighing and logging food, because that is not how i wish to continue living. It was a great tool for losing weight, but im where I want to be weight wise. Am planning to recomp for at least 6 months, weighing myself frequently to stay in a range with intuitive eating.…

Im not above 50 but would just like to recommend that you incorporate squats and deadlifts into your programme too. Will do wonders for overall health imo.
-
Yeah, i need to quit smoking too. Too hard for me though. My wife quit cold turkey (actually reduced to 1 smoke a day for a month first) just like that when we found out she was pregnant. I tried, but couldnt. Lifes stresses were just too much for me without a smoke.

And what fuels the body the next morning when you eat less because you ate at night? Does the body have permanent fat storage systems for any food consumed between 9pm to 6am? The assumption here on mfp is that OP counts calories and sticks to goal regardless of timing.
-
so i am assuming .75 pounds of muscle gain a month during my recomp. with that assumption, at least 6-8 months of recomp for me.
