I have been eating far fewer calories and reducing my carb intake. I have a hormonal imbalance which seems to me it nearly impossible f oj r me to lose weight without exercise. 😣 I hurt it initially in 2006 at work. This was just a repeat/flareup injury to it. It wasn't properly diagnosed and treated all those years ago,…

Just getting back after being out with a back injury all of 2018. I need all the motivation I can get!!!

Thanks everyone. All of you have amazing insight and are truly inspiring. I am using the calories in/ calories out approach. But, I'm also trying to hit close to my target in macros.....granted, macros isn't as important....calories in and out is my priority....but I wonder sometimes if the amount calculated by the app is…

LOL! Duh! That makes a lot of sense! :D Feeling like a dumbo now! :D :D :D Thanks for all the feedback, looks like there are a lot of success stories here, as well as people similar to myself still embarking on their weight loss journey. Today was the strongest I've felt in a long time. I didn't exercise today, so it…

Wow! That's incredible! Congratulations on your success. What does CICO mean?

I know it can't be easy for you to post those pictures. My weight has fluctuated by a massive amount over the last decade or so and I can totally understand what you're going through. The only difference is I'm still on a long road ahead to lose more weight. As my fat composition is being transformed into muscle, the loose…

Getting enough protein in your diet without going over calories and other macros can be difficult. I have looked up the best protein shakes (healthiest for your body, with some being GMO free and free of artificial sweeteners and preservatives) the list I got were: *Promix Grass-fed Whey Protein *Paleo Protein Pure Egg…

Where people losing weight can bring their too loose clothes and exchange them for someone else's too loose clothing that you now fit. Bariatric weight loss centers sometimes do this for their patients....who could be anywhere on their journey and unlimited sizes down to the lowest of sizes.... When I went to a…

Well, being a person who really has avoided dresses and shorts since my teenage years, I would never give people trying to lose weight that advice....however, for those that do wear them, more power to you....you have more confidence and courage than me. :) I work in healthcare so I wear scrubs half the time....and when…

I'm no expert, but I've noticed when I increase my weight lifting to be more than my cardio(which is what I do now) it does make my muscles fatigued and sore. Main questions here is what is your caloric intake? How long is your weight lifting? How many reps and sets are you doing and at what degree of difficulty?(is the…

I work a sedentary job as well. Only, my work days are 12 and 1/2 hour rotating off tours. You may not be getting any physical activity in at work, but that's what your time off is for. I literally Only get 5 to 6 hours of sleep on my work days without exercise, so it's impossible for me to workout on those days outside of…

I've never been able to do pull ups....not even when I was young and thin!....that will be one of my long-term goals.... Also, there's an ab machine at the Anytime Fitness I go to that I have not figured out how to use...since I go to the gym before the roosters even crow, I rarely ever see staff and I'm not forward enough…

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I have read many articles on holistic and alternative approaches to cancer treatment. A lot of what they say is all about diet and nutrition....it sounds like you're doing an excellent job of giving your body what it needs. Miracles happen everyday. You're wisdom and courage is truly…

So sorry to hear about your loss! Prayers for healing and recession for your wife and daughter. Under the circumstances you've been enduring, it's no wonder the weight was gained back. Glad to see you are back at it. Hope to see more positive posts on your journey in the future!

Tuna, beef jerky, hard boiled eggs, protein bars or shakes, P3s, chicken breasts (most meats are great for protein....if you make an extra serving or two for a meal, you can save the extra servings in storage bowls or bags and it makes for a quick snack or meal later when you're in need of a protein boost)

So sorry to hear about your loss. I think we all have our ups and downs, and sometimes our downs can seem like they're impossible to climb out of. Seeing that you're on here means you have decided to take charge and get your life back. You are correct, there are many of us who have similar struggles and the same goals as…

I need to get another scale! :# :/

It just depends. I have been going primarily 3 to 5 days a week. However, after adding this app and seeing a bigger picture of my goals, I'm wanting to be able to get at least an hour of exercise in everyday. I've gone to the gym everyday this week, but I'm on vacation. I return to work on Monday and I work 12 1/2 hour…

I do exclusive cardio which is usually 10 minutes on the elliptical, lateral elliptical, stationary bike, and/or row machine. I also do weights in a circuit which is classified as weight lifting and cardio.

Very interesting! I wonder how you'd go about having this done??? I've been very strict with my measuring, using measuring cups and measuring spoons. However, I know some people are even more diligent with using scales....which I had done before my food scale broke.... If there's a link for being able to have this done,…

I wish there was an app for that...seems complicated....or maybe I'm just overwhelmed with the information provided....I'll have to work on it....thanks!
-
I'm the same way. It's very frustrating and I feel like it impacts my progress when I'm not seeing results on the scale. I have spoken with physicians, dieticians, nutritionists, you name it....I've been at a 10 lb range plateau for over 6 months, which is what ended up bringing me to this app. Based on advice given to me,…

That link is awesome! Thank you!!!

I am not in law enforcement, but I am in healthcare and work rotating off tours. I am on the opposite side of the spectrum, but have reached a plateau with my weight loss goals. I do believe the off tours has a lot to do with weight problems, whether it's gaining or losing. Our schedules are chaotic which makes our meal…
