I was out for the weekend vising MIL in Dallas. Now, that I'm back..I'm shocked at the sad news :( . I had just read his post @MobyCarp and I was hoping that he got over his cold/illness. So sad, life is too short sometimes. I didn't get the pleasure to know him, since I just joined the group, but he sounds like an amazing…

@bride001 Ooh my, you are in the direct path. We are in Houston, so we might get rain. Prayers for you and all the people in New Orleans. Hope it doesn't get too bad. Stay safe!

@bride001 Stay safe. I don't know how close you are to the trajectory of the hurricane. I'm getting my run done today, just in case we get lots of rain Friday.

@martaindale ... Where do you live? I'm one of those TX runners... You just have to get out early morning to catch anything under 80 degrees. My running partner (hubby) had red hair (mostly gray now) and blue eyes. But he is Texas born and raise, that men can handle heat better than me. The genetic world is against you for…

I gained about 30 lbs from my last half marathon and the extra weight takes a huge toll in your joints. So, I started slow and my plan was to increase my…

Good morning!!! I always wanted to join a running challenge group, but I get so intimidated by the real runners. I'm what you would call a casual runner.
