Looking at getting one also. Total body workout. Full body warm up, steady state and intervals. Can do it all it seems. Often called the devils bike, lol. Also good on off days no eccentric so no soreness the following day from what I understand. Can’t wait.

Also, once fat adapted you need he sodium. your body holds glycogen and water in the cell together so as you use your stores up the cell also expells the water. It’s the reason why one loses weight at the start of keto, it’s a lot of water weight. So you should not retain any extra water once fat adapted and consuming more…

Tartar will make whatever you put it in tastes sour. I use it in tea and water. It’s cheap & easy. But like others have said you probably don’t need to supplement potassium.

3 things to measure blood, urine and breath I do once a week blood tests, the gold standard as of now. Believe they’re only 3-4 monitors you can get, $20-$40. And I’ve gotten strips from eBay/Amazon $1-1.50 depending on how much you buy. I use the precision extra monitor. In addition I also test blood glucose…

Avocados are the only fruit I eat. My other veggie is spinach. Occasionally I’ll have broccoli, asparagus, some power green. But day in day out it’s those two. I eat close to the same things everyday. I’m the type who doesn’t get bored with the same food constantly. And $6-7 lb! Dam that is expensive I get for around $2-3…

Fail a drug test? It’s not made of marijuana but hemp so no you will no fail a drug test. I use to take it daily for ~8 months and never failed a random. I also eat at least 30g of hemp seeds and a 1 tbsp of hemp oil a day and just had a random 3 weeks ago and passed. As for the taste I would say an acquired taste by…

Since it’s a compilation of pervious studies it will just basically just tell us what we already know. Don’t think it will shed any new light. Hopefully it will be able to cross reference all the studies and give us better causation and not just correlation. It will organize and put all the studies in one place which is…

My keto diet is as follows low carb high fiber veggies, mostly spinach 4-6 cups a day and avocado, 2x day Nuts and seeds usually macadamia & hemp 1-2x day Healthy oils, usually avocado/hemp/coconut/fish used to fill in fat cals Leaner meats and eggs for main protein I believe that one needs to ensure gut health. Not in it…

Been reading thru some of the studies. And the more I read the more I believe that they will not find any real difference between the different diets or at least nothing substantial. Just different ways to the same end. And slightly different time frames. Will keep on reading.

What? It’s a fat based diet not protein based. I eat 1g or protein per lb of lean body weight. Not sure why that’s in anyway confusing.
-
Not sure how this applies to the topic. But I don’t eat tons of meat or dairy. I consume ~1g of protein per lb of lean muscle mass(not all from meat/dairy) No more than anyone else who trying to build muscle and usually less. Most of my fats are derived from plant sources. So not sure what your after. Keto is a moderate…

Thinking the same thing. I’m sure some of the newer studies will shed some light on the subject. Just that most of the newer keto studies are based on diabetes and other such and not muscle performance.
-
So no new study coming just a compilation of most of the studies on the topic. Was hoping a new study. Think that’s why the Phinney/Volek one had such a drastic fat loss cause I believe they were all elite athletes. I’ve read most of the big keto studies. But I need to read/catch up on a lot of the other studies.
-
I’m extremely rational and not annoyed. But not on topic. So back to the topic. Assuming all the participants will be fat adapted when they start the study? With CKD your carb loading larger amount for you workout days. So you can make sure to maximize gains? So you basically out of ketosis for couple of days a week. And…

Less inflammation in my joints and back. I have a sciatica issue and after about a week on keto I stopped using aleve for the stiffness/pain. I sleep better and have more constant energy throughout the day. No ups and downs. And I have more time to do things cause I’m not eating 4-6 times a day lol

Post being cut off. Good luck to all
-
Not sure why but my posts are being cut off? My keto diet includes Low carb high fiber veggies, mainly spinach(4cups/day)
-
Ok guys you win your right. This grows tiring. Because no matter what I post it won’t matter. Also once again never said keto was the fasted way to build muscle mass. But that one could gain lean muscle mass. And that inflammation is reduced when processed carbs are cut down/eliminated. But I’ll leave you guys alone to…

Read and weep sure sir. All of those populations eat hardly no processed carbs. And eat what we consider a low calorie diet. They can’t eat whenever whatever they want sir. They do with what’s available to them l. So a good amount of daily fasting occurs which spare muscle mass and lengthens life then add in genetics and…

Guess my mom whom didn’t leave Italy till she was 22 and her family who had a farm and vineyard weren’t Italians. Most meals I ate consisted of fresh veggies, fresh seafoods/meats, fresh dairy and a smaller amount of breads and pasta when there. Breakfast was small and had no processed carbs sometimes bread. Large lunch of…

Once again reread my post. Never said keto was the best diet to build muscle the fastest. Just that one could slow bulk. And once again all these post are indeed directly against keto. And also sugar addiction is real and withdrawals symptoms are also. You can’t refute the science of the mesolimbic pathway. Yes they just…

Next time when you at the grocery store take a look at most of the boxes low fat high carb my friend. And the majority or studies, probably 99% use animal models. So why in this instance is it not a real study and the data not applicable? That makes no sense just, cause you say so? Also I believe the blue zone diets would…

Measure a few times a day. Want mine as low as possible. Have had 65 as my lowest fasted, felt fine. Highest has been 93 fed. Average an 75-80 fasted and 85-90 fed. I want super insulin sensitivity!

Make sure to get enough protein. If you can’t get enough cals in from real food. The old standbys are chicken, potatoes, tuna, rice, peanut butter milk cheese etc. all easy and calorie dense and can be prep’d ahead of time. Then shakes it is and any of the standard weight gainers will supply you with what you need. Don’t…

Like others have said. Do the standard mass building movements, squats dead’s bench and chins. Go heavy and then rest(6-8 reps believe) Doesn’t sound like your getting enough sleep so I’d say your over training. Also you’ve been lifting for a few years it gets harder to gain unless your on top of the diet and rest. Your…

Sounds like keto flu for sure. Up the electrolytes. Especially the sodium/salt. You can drink a few cups of chicken broth a day. I use the knoor powder, pink Himalayan and Redmond real salt. Look into “the salt fix” on youtube/podcast from high intensity health, really informative.

Basically called the mesolimbic pathway. Search mesolimbic pathway and sugar and you’ll get many many many studies on it. Pick which ever you want. Basically stimulates how far your willing to go to get something. And sugar stimulates it just like a drug. Happy reading.

As for he CKD, I enjoy n=1 experiment trying to maximize my health and longevity. So I’m constantly running one on myself with regards to something. For myself I seem to have a high carb tolerance. But that’s for another thread. Basically see what happens
