If you really want to build muscle and get stronger, you will want a rack, a bench, and a 300lb Olympic weight/barbell set.
-
This is pretty much what I want as well.

Optimum Nutrition is my go-to
-
Unfortunately not. Sorry to break it to you, but the only way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than you burn.
-
You need to eat really calorie dense foods then in order to get enough calories. I would always add oils when cooking (like olive oil) and if you like nuts, eat those. Carbs can also add a lot of calories easily. The only way to not gain 'sloppy' weight is to make sure you are on a good weight lifting routine and eat a…

I prefer to start bulking at 10-12% myself, but it is personal preference.

Not only 0.4g fat total, but as a minimum. Your body requires dietary fat for a huge number of reasons. I will say that if someone has a high bodyfat % (i.e. 30% or more), you could cut that back some.

Very true, I should have specified in my post... It is one of those things where I know what I mean in my head, but not everyone else does ha ha.

This.

No. The only 2 things you need to know is that you want to get a minimum of 0.4g of fat and 0.6g of protein per pound of bodyweight each day. These are minimums, so you can have more if you want. Fill the rest with whatever you want.

A good burger would be mine... one of my favorite snacks
-
Fat intake only has a minimum... 0.4g per pound of bodyweight. This is a minimum, so if you want more then feel free. Just try and limit trans fat.

The second bolded portion will show you it is not genetic. It is simply that you are not eating enough. You need to consistently be in a calorie surplus to put on weight.
-
Define 'gain muscle'? As in gain a 1/2 pound? Continuosly gaining? To continue gaining muscle, you need to continue adding weight to your exercises in the medium rep range.
-
Why do you care? Are you trying to hit a specific weight for a competition? Your weight can fluctuate a ton throughout the day just by various factors.
-
Define eating 'clean'? As in washing your food? Definitely do that. You can eat whatever you want as long as it fits your calories and that you are getting a minimum of 0.4g fat and 0.6g of protien per pound of bodyweight each day. Enjoy your food 7 days a week.

I would say my point is that estimating bodyfat % through the mirror is actually a fairly good way to do so. It has little to do with vanity really.

Protein shake and a cheese stick for me
-
Eat less and move more is all you will need to lose weight. Your body works exactly the same as everyone else on the planet.

Sounds genetic or mislabeled jeans. I am 6'1" and 155lbs and wear a size 32x32 jean and could not fit into a 30x32 as it would be too tight. If i gained 60 lbs there is no way i would fit in a 32x32.
-
Total? No way! You likely need more than double that.
-
Need calories? Easy... eat peanut butter.
-
Why are you doing keto?
-
Definitely this here. It is great for weight training.

How do you know you burned 400 calories? Because MFP said so? Sorry to break it to you, but the calorie amount they say you burned can be highly inaccurate. So if you actually burned 200 calories, but MFP said you burned 400 and then you eat 400 back, you just went over your daily intake by 200 calories. You need to figure…

I sleep so much better and am so much more comfortable now that I have lost weight. I don't have to support all that excess weight anymore. Sleep like a baby now.

No way do I eat them back

What are you trying to accomplish by doing IF vs traditional reduced calorie dieting? Is it simply to curb appetite?

protein bar... However cost will be only slghtly less.
