Back to Parkrun on Saturday after a bit of a running hiatus (nothing since Oct!). Assumed I was going to be dead slow, but found I finished only 4 mins off my PB :)

After hitting my goal weight on Monday, I'm moving from the General Health, Fitness and Diet forums on MFP to the Goal: Maintaining Weight forums  Never thought I'd ever be looking in there for advice!

I've dropped 93lbs and have gone from wearing small heels for a maximum of around an hour to 3-inch block heels for the entirety of every wedding I go to (and I love to dance!) It's the best feeling - I have heels in the back of my wardrobe that I thought would never see the light of day again!

God I hate the Susans of this world...

Absolutely fantastic! It sounds like we've been on a parallel journey - started almost the same time, lost the same amount, and still a little way to go. SUCH an inspiration! You look phenomenal :)

@motivatedmartha Thank you! The profile picture is from January this year and needs updating. I went to a few weddings this month and my face in those photos looks different again. I couldn't spot myself straight away! I'm still losing for now; just one more stone away from being at the top end of healthy BMI. A lot of…

I started as a UK 22 and am now a UK 12. It was SUPER difficult to picture that; same as you, I didn't have a lot of photos of myself at that weight, and when I looked in the mirror all I could see was my big tum and my bingo wings and other things I wanted to change. The one thing you do have though are THE CLOTHES...

Llongyfarchiadau!! Da iawn wraig bach :)

I'm EXACTLY where you are! I was verging on a UK size 24 until last July when I started this weight loss journey and now I'm JUST about in size 12 jeans (with a big muffin top though). Congratulations!!! *high 5*

When I joined my gym I had to take a basic skills test to see if I was flexible/strong enough to join in the group weights sessions. I most definitely wasn't(!), so started with 1:1 sessions instead. Sometimes I'm in the gym when the group sessions are happening, and its all these muscly guys who look like they could flip…

I love this! My passport is soon to expire, and for once I'm really excited about getting a new picture!

I had this realisation when I started running too. I mentioned it to my personal trainer and he said that if you're running on a treadmill, adjust the incline to replicate the difficulty of running on terrain. Believe me, it's much more realistic, and definitely "counts"! :)
-
Great question! A personal trainer is primarily responsible for structuring your workout routine, but some will also give dietary advice. I chose a personal trainer because I needed a more structured approach to weight loss that included some accountability ie. if I had a session booked in with my trainer then I would be…

Set a new deadlift PB of 80kgs. Pretty big achievement for me since I weigh 74kgs!
-
was able to borrow clothes from a friend who has always been considerably thinner than me. The trousers were a size smaller than what I tend to wear now, and fit like a dream!
-
Washing my most recently purchased clothes and seeing how much less space they take up when I hang them up to dry!

4 more lbs til I hit a 60lb loss overall, which means I get to reward myself with a spa break with some of my girlfriends :)
-
Good luck David! I started my journey properly in July with the same amount to lose, and I'm over halfway there. It's definitely achievable :)

My grandparents used to babysit us after school and we'd see them every weekend. My grandma spoiled me through love (just as every grandma does) and gave me whatever I wanted for dinner, as well as lots of sweet treats. I always knew I was big, but I had a lot of friends and kept a good sense of humour about it, so the odd…

I was literally thinking about this in the bath 2 days ago! I'm nearly at that point now and it feels great!

NSV 1: I wear contact lenses most of the time, but was slobbing around the house in my glasses the other day and noticed that now when I smile, my cheeks no longer touch the bottom of my glasses :) NSV 2: Had clients coming into the office today so had to dress smart. Has been quite a few months since I had to do that and…

Official weigh in today and I've lost 51.4lbs! Mrs Potts is mine - will have a nice little ceremony tonight to affix her to my bracelet. I'm no longer a little teapot, short and stout :)
-
The smoky paprika Hecks are my favourite - so delicious! Bit higher than the plain at 108kcal for 2, but the flavour is worth it!
-
When I hit the 50lb loss mark, I get to add an adorable Mrs Potts Disney charm to my Pandora bracelet! Was ready to buy it myself but my boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas and has been keeping it aside for me :) Only 2.6lbs to go!!…

Musclefood pizza is actually not too bad - they sell them in Morrisons. Load them up with extra stuff!!!

That people cannot get their head around the fact that you aren't on a specific diet. Whenever I'm out for dinner or at a friend's house, I always get the same "What can/can't you eat?" It's very thoughtful of them to consider my needs, but I'm getting sick of telling people that I'm not on a special diet and can eat…

Not having to check weight limits for activities like theme park rides or water slides. I used to teeter on the edge of most, but now I'm comfortably within them :)
-
God I love fried chicken. I've actually found a decent recipe for some 'Fake KFC' here (I use cous cous instead of panko) - it does usually hit the spot when you've got a craving.
-
Update on this mini goal - didn't log anything while I was on the cruise and mostly ate whatever I wanted, but took the stairs everywhere and went to the gym a lot to run/walk a few miles. Weighed in this morning at the gym and have lost 3kgs!

Americano with a dash of skimmed milk. Sometimes a little caramel or vanilla sweetener from this range https://teisseire.com/en/global/professional/products/le-0/ - they have small pods so I can carry them with me everywhere
