Hmm, def not my intention, so my apologies if it came off that way. The point I was trying to make is that you should pay for what you want and that a higher cost club is worth it if it one finds value in those extra services and amenities. As I said, I would not pay that if I wasn't looking for specific things that I was…

Buy a food scale then. You can find one at Walmart, Target or buy it off Amazon. Scales aren't expensive. Personally, I find it hard to eyeball food like that. If it's a pasta like ravioli or tortellini, you might be able to find the calories per piece on the back of the package.

I'm in Chicago. Honestly, a lot of things are expensive out here, but not nearly as expensive as where I grew up in California, so to me, it wasn't a huge price shock. However, I fully recognize that in the world of gyms, that is an expensive cost. The actual membership is about 150/month. The rest of it is for training. I…

I love breakfast. Mine is between 500 and 600 calories. I pretty much eat the same thing everyday out of convenience.

Regarding the Quest Pizza- think of it this way : It's a lower calorie option with some ingredient substitutions. If you eat a Quest bar expecting a candy bar, you'll be disappointed. Look at these in that same light. As for the price. 7$ for a frozen pizza is not bad at all. A pizza from MOD, a burrito at Chipotle, even a…

This sweet dream, ice cream But lactose, "Oh no," I scream A nightmare it seems

I always bring running shoes and I find it fun to run in a new place. I'll usually do a test drive and kind of scope out a route by driving around the area. Then I also find a gym in the area and either get a temporary membership for the duration of my stay or pay a daily fee. I feel better when I exercise and I don't want…

For the most part, I believe that you get what you pay for. You don't want to pay a lot, don't expect much in terms of service or personal attention. If you happen to get it, great, but don't expect it to be part of the package. As far as non-judgement... I love my club and I feel it's non-judgement. Clubs that have a full…

I tried them once. I found them so gross I threw up. The texture was awful to me, so I stay far, far away from those. Many people do enjoy them and it does seem that asian style dishes are more popular.

For the longest time, I ate a protein bar and an apple. I needed more calories though, so some recent variations- 1 bagel, 2 tbsp hummus, 2 oz turkey, and 2 hardboiled eggs protein shake (2 scoop protein, 4oz almond milk, 6 strawberries, spinach), Clif builder bar 2 pieces of toast, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 2 hardboiled eggs…

If mindless snacking is a problem, then don't bring snacks. If you need to, you can pick up a granola bar or a piece of fruit or beef jerky at a gas station along the way. I'd much rather eat at a local restaurant and be hungry for a meal than to eat a bunch of stuff in the car.

I like most of the Bang flavors. The only ones I hate are cotton candy, pear guava and peach tea. Lately I've been drinking a lot of Lemon Drop, Champagne and Purple Haze. GNC isn't really known for their protein bar selection. Vitamin Shoppe has a better variety. You could see if they have Quest Chips (sour cream was…

A couple options 1. mix your protein powder into other things like yogurt, oatmeal, cottage cheese, pancakes or scrambled eggs. 2. eat more proteins like tofu, tempeh and seitan Adding any of those protein sources to your meals should get you on the mark or a lot closer. 1 additional protein scoop at breakfast is 20g…

I tried the Piñata icecream. Not that good, in my opinion. The flavor was okay, very sweet, but nothing amazing. I prefer other pints much more.

Also, check with your insurance company. My insurance covers my dietician, who I now see just once a week. She is both an RD and an RN. I used to go three times a week, and that can add up without coverage.

I always go with beef and broccoli if I am getting an entree. I'll first look at the appetizers for something like chicken skewers. If they have that, I get the skewers and something like miso soup or egg drop soup.

I don't know about drinks, but they usually have the cleanest bathrooms in downtown Chicago, so there's that... I'm a boring plain green tea or black coffee drinker.

For seasoning - garlic. I love it on everything - chicken, eggs, vegetables, potatoes, oatmeal. For other stuff - eggs, lunch meat, protein bars and apples. I can go through an entire day eating only those four things.

Keep boxes of dry pasta, pasta sauce and frozen meatballs on hand all the time. If the boys complain, tell them to make themselves pasta. My boyfriend does it all the time if I make something and he wants something else. Or, serve everything "family style." Make the separate parts of the meal and don't assemble or mix…

I agree with others. I'd much rather arrange that differently. I'd be more inclined to mix those veggies into an omelet. Then chop the omelet into pieces and use the bread/bagel as a vehicle for each bite of omelet. Or, the bagel will hold things better if you scoop out the "fluff" in the middle of each half and fill the…

bagel spread looks like cream cheese to me.

It's probably not available. A couple options. 1. call it a treat and move on 2. estimate using another menu (Sonic, Dairy Queen, Culver's) Depending on how big this thing is (let's say it's 12oz, no idea what size your's was, but you can adjust from here) I'd guess 2 scoops of ice-cream 300-400 cals 8oz milk 150 cals…

I agree. There is nothing wrong with feeling hungry. Granted, I am not a volume eater either. I hate feeling weighed down with food. I think that there are 2 types of fullness and you need a balance between them. 1. enough food- you have something to chew and there is enough on the plate so you actually feel like you put…

I'm about quality with 2 two meanings. 1. quality- to my tastes. Do I personally like this food? Yes. 2. quality- to my health. Do I like what this food is made of? Do I like the macros of this food? Yes. I'm the type of eater who is a "picker." I like to take a bite of something and then be done with it. I like small…

Grocery shop! Plan a week of meals so you know exactly how much to buy. Ask the hotel for a shuttle to the nearest store. Or grab a cab. I used to only have a mini fridge and I kept plenty of food in it. 7 days, 3 meals a day, that's 21 meals. Buy things that you can easily mix and match. Also get some small tuppeware for…

I've done it both ways. I work in sales, and sometimes all I have time to do is drink something to keep me going. I'm also not a fan of feeling very full at meals, so I'll use drinks with calories in addition to eating a couple of eggs and a protein bar. Realize, in both cases, I use it because I don't have much time and I…

Next time, count how many shrimp you have. I'd estimate each shrimp (coated and sauced) is about 80 calories.

No rice? The rice paper itself is about 30 cals/piece. So 90 total for the paper. The vegetables are low calorie. Estimate 15 calories total. The chicken. I'd guess 1 oz per roll. Hard to tell without a picture. 3 oz total is about 120 calories. The teriyaki sauce. Round up to 75 calories to account for any oil or butter…

I think the vegan burger is good. I eat it plain but you could melt a piece of cheese on top. The Quest bars only have like 1g of sugar. I never looked a the premier protein ones. I was more concerned with the calories and the amount of protein. Overall, I don't eat a high sugar diet, so a little extra in a bar won't hurt.

My snacks range 300-400 calories and my meals are about 600. I use any of the following in different portions as parts of either. quest bar (200 cals, 20g protein) protein powder (120 cals, 20g protein) premier protein bar (300 cals, 30g protein) Ostrim beef jerky stick (80 cals, 14g protein) hardboiled egg (80cals, 6g…
