  • The way you choose to eat has 0 impact on me, so I feel no need to dissuade you. If you want to eat this way, then go ahead. We all have our taste preferences, and this seems to be in line with your taste buds. Would I choose it? No. But I also know that I eat a way that a lot of people wouldn't choose either. Quick…
  • Nah, I know plenty of Chicagoans who eat Chicago dogs - poppyseed bun, mustard, onion, pickle, tomato and sport peppers. Not a drop of ketchup in sight! But, I also know a ton of people who wouldn't dare skip out on the ketchup. They eat those hot dogs at home and not out in public.
  • Check out MyZone. It's a wearable heart rate monitor that tells you which zone your in at any given time during your workout.
  • I never got to try Jelly Donut and Fruity Crisp, so I want those back. I want them to make - carrot cake banana creme pie green tea toffee butterscotch macadamia nut
  • @hgycta - That Quest pizza is 11oz, so I'm guessing it's meant to be shared. I'm thinking the entire thing will be around 800 cals, which could still be a "personal pizza."
  • I hope you like high fat meals! marinate your tofu in an oil based salad dressing - balsamic, sesame ginger, Italian, greek etc etc. toast some sesame seeds or another nut roast any veggies of your choice pan fry your tofu and then add to the vegetable. top with seeds/nuts and avocado. • Purple Haze is awesome. It's grape flavored. I don't remember the blue being particularly memorable, so you might not be missing out on that one.
  • Some veggies like cauliflower, zucchini, cabbage and bean sprouts can add a lot of volume with minimal flavor. They tend to soak up the flavor of whatever they are in. For foods that aren't vegetables - egg whites and chicken breast give you a lot of volume for minimal calories. Egg whites taste like nothing, so season…
  • Yep, just a little Lou Malnati's.
  • Why alcohol free? I mean, what's the point then? I love the taste of beer, but I also love how it makes me feel. I wouldn't drink it just for the taste. If I wanted a sweet, sugary drink, I'd have something else.
  • Not for the lactose intolerant.
  • I posted a review of it in the New Products thread. I thought it was pretty good! Definitely a new concept using caramel swirls and the flavor was pretty good- little salty/sweet.
  • I lose weight when I have really bad anxiety. My appetite is so decreased that I can go all day on just a couple hundred calories and a lot of caffeine. Anxiety is not the cause of weight gain, but your coping mechanisms could be. Therapy is a great option, but also try to be more self aware. Notice when you feel your…
  • Tea bags! Super easy to make a quick iced tea. Grab a tea bag and a bottle of ice water. Drop the tea bag in and massage the bag into the side of the bottle using a straw/knife/spoon etc. It steeps quick in the cold water if you move the bag around. You can then add slices of frozen peaches, strawberries, blueberries etc…
  • Yep! Chicagoland Whole Foods. I think I've also seen it at Plum Market and Treasure Island Foods.
  • Maple Waffle Quest Bar Review! Notable points - Base- same as blueberry muffin Chunks- same as blueberry muffin or smore's chunks Bonus chunks- caramel globs though out the bar Taste- definitely tastes like maple, though it has an artificial taste. If you like sugar free syrup, you'll probably like this taste. It also has…
  • Good! I don't count right now either, but don't be afraid to do a little extra replenishing if you are feeling the hunger. Or, you might find that sports drink is helpful. Even though they are mostly sugar, your body will use the energy quickly as it is a fast acting carb. That's why sports players will drink Gatorade mid-…
  • But whoever heard of breast milk.... Milk and dairy are a part of a natural human diet. Yes we don't make all the dairy we consume from human breast milk, but animals cross paths too with their milk consumption, like if 1 type of animal takes in another species and feeds it and raises it.
  • Try upping your carb intake before your workout. I'm doing a lot more calisthenic and conditioning training right now in addition to running. I eat a high carb breakfast first thing upon waking - a large apple and a Clif Builder Bar. About an hour or 2 after my workout, I have higher protein - eggs and a protein shake or…
  • Just make everything that you normally like to eat, remove the meat part and use a substitute. hamburger patty becomes an Impossible Burger patty meat lasagna becomes veggie lasagna steak and potato becomes tempeh and potato chicken tacos becomes tofu chorizo beef stew becomes bean stew swap chicken and beef stock for…
  • It's summer. Take advantage of the nice weather and go outside. Run indoors when it's snowing. If you absolutely cannot run outside, then put on a TV show then will keep you engaged, something you get wrapped into. It'll keep your mind busy. I also cover the numbers on the treadmill with a towel so I'm not starting at…
  • If you're regaining weight, then you're eating too much. It's not the types of food, it's just the amount. Remember, then when you lose weight, you also need to make the commitment to eat at maintenance when you are done. You cannot go back to how you ate when you were gaining because then you gain again. It's a cycle that…
  • cabbage slaw (pre chopped cabbage, 1 tbsp light mayo, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, paprika) celery and hummus roasted broccoli parmesan cauliflower vegetable soup
  • Breakfast doesn't have to be anything special. I used to eat chicken and broccoli, roast beef and potato, quesadillas, salad or soup first thing in the morning.
  • I make a good horchata smoothie. 6oz almond milk 1/2 a banana 1 scoop vanilla protein powder squirt of vanilla extract a few shakes of cinnamon ice
  • I have breakfast every day at about 6am, somedays a little earlier, somedays a little later. This has zero impact on if I eat snacks or not. Snacks are determined by how my day is organized, the amount of exercise, and hunger levels.
  • I developed a full blow eating disorder. Was diagnosed at 18 and spent a year and a half in and out of residential treatment centers. I lost a ton of hair from my head and instead grew little downy hairs all over my body. I lost my period and was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 22. My digestive system is all messed…
  • Okay. I get it. I'm a runner, and yes, I run faster when I'm leaner. But, I run even faster when I'm properly fueled. The point is to win, right? You'd be better off eating more so you have more energy to train harder. Or, you can spend all summer dieting on very few calories so that you workouts suffer and you lose muscle…

  • Don't bring stuff. If it's there, you're more likely to eat it. Bring your lunch to eat and piece of fresh fruit (like an apple or a banana) to hold you over until dinner. Leave your money in the car so you're not tempted to go and buy extra stuff. If you'd rather eat little snacks through out the day instead of a meal,…
