Usually it takes a bit more to show. I remember i noticed when I lost about 6-8 pounds. So no worries, if you continue for a bit more you will notice. But I agree measurements help a lot when you don't see much loss on the scale.

I wait until clothes are super baggy.. Lost 33lbs and currently using same clothes. Maybe by losing another 10lb mark i might rethink it and buy better fitting clothes since I'll be 10lbs away from ideal weight.

All the factors that could be effecting you now is what everybody already stated. Main one to point was if you have reevaluated your calories now that you lost weight? Also, are there any other factors going on in your life? what about less sleep, or stress. Those can also affect you.

Actually 12 pound loss for the month is fantastic. Keep up the good work.

Start slow but go to gym if you can. There will be times when you can't go but if there is time in your schedule why not. You exercise and keep you busy so you won't fall back. Plus you lose faster when you have a good diet and exercise.

When i travel to other countries I tend to lose weight easily the one or two weeks I am there. No counting calories, no gym, not even watching what i eat. But I am always walking while in other countries. So no surprise when coming back to the US I have to start counting calories again going to gym and having to take care…

Yup try doing your push up daily...its start becoming one to two.

You can do it. Not sure what steps your taking but a little over a 1 pound a week is doable.

Sometimes keeping healthier snacks (popcorn or dark chocolate) on hand will keep you from getting that cookie. Which isn't bad if you want it but just like someone else mention before me will the calories be worth it?

Great! There is nothing that can't be done once you put our mind to it!!

Your progress report is awesome!! I also get discourage because the goal is so close yet so far away. But one thing I keep telling myself, " I've had this weight for over 10 years, the fact that I am losing it in this amount of time is alright." You got this!! Your determine!

Clean eating. Just started to leave the sugary drinks and eating at home. I wanted to lose weight but I took my time and research.
-
Don't know but it also happen to me. Almost two weeks with the scale not moving and all of a sudden I was down 2lbs almost overnight..
-
Are you sleeping well? Not stressing ? I think someone already mention if you have recalculated your calorie count. If you have been doing the same workout try changing it up or take other workout classes.

Venting is ok. When you get people here reminding you its only water weight and how its difficult during that time for many it actually calming because you know your not alone on this. I mean.. i know its water weight but I hate seeing the number on the scale go up when you worked so hard on this.

I usually gain 2-3 pounds and 4-5 when eating salty foods during my period. The fact that your only gain 2 after eating salty foods is good. I only weight daily at first when I changed my eating habit and as I started to workout because i wanted to see how my body retain the water and when it let it go. However, I notice…

I felt like it was stalling my weight loss. I was eating good and working out. I hit a plateau for a couple of weeks. When i noticed i was only getting max 4-5 hours a week i figure it didn't hurt to try and sleep more. Within 3 or 4 days of sleeping 7-8 (mostly 7, 8 hours were a luxury) weight started falling off again. I…

Great job. It shows you work hard. I always thought I needed to workout to get those results. But you showed me that just eating right will help me.
-
Sometimes I eat half of it. Like many people mention before you only remember how good they tasted but now it might be different. At least your craving will go away. I always believe not to deprive yourself with certain foods. Its the way you go about it.

Good job with all your efforts bjcrewe. I also keep tabs on this tread because it motivational and you get good advice from quite a few people. - San Antonio, TX.

Actually i know what you mean about gaining quite a bit of weight in a year time. Happen to me. I was a compulsive eater which cause me to gain 40 lbs in a year. To tell you the truth whatever change you make will be beneficial. I did it little by little and one thing at a time. First was the soda. Once I was able to give…

How right you are!! These are the treats I give myself to keep going on my weight loss. I don't deprive myself but it does make me more motivated to stay on course. If I didn't treat myself to one of these I would have broken down a long time ago. LOL

Her comment was so wrong!! But for the wife to be jealous you must have been doing something right!! :D

Congrats!!

Got to agree with you @tiffdaski. Same deal with me. Now that I am eating clean I don't crave a lot of the bad food. So I no longer need cheat days or even cheat meals. If i want to indulge in something that is not my usual I share the meal or dessert and I am good since i always felt I had to eat the rest because it would…

Rest is very important when sick since it lets you get better right away. Actually even eating is good for you (like someone said chicken soup is the best). Your attitude during this keeps me motivated so hope to hear your healthy soon.

Wow!! Great Job!! Well definitely hope to read your full story. Stories like this keep me going and motivated not to quit.
