Why does it have to take a near-disaster experience to teach me to appreciate life like never before?

You can fit in a weight loss schedule simply into your life by just eating less everyday. No one tells you that it is that simple, so we sometimes get so confused and anxious about how to reach our fitness goals. But if it's just weight loss that we want, eating less is the solution. On the other hand, getting physically…

Sometimes I get intense cravings for something sweet. This happens especially when I am stressed or during my period. What I sometimes do in response to intense cravings, is to ride them out by keeping busy; but when I cannot ride them out, I eat more than I would like and then eat lesser a few days afterwards to balance…

JFT: Ask for help when I need it and not feel weak or as if I've given something up in doing so. Afterall, getting help means the job gets done, less anxiety for all and being better able to stick to positive goals.

Feeling more mentally and physically energized at work, which ironically means doing more with less.

I do a calisthenics workout 3 to 5 times a week right after taking a cup of coffee in the morning around 4:20AM for about 40 minutes to an hour. The coffee helps motivate me immediately but my longterm motivation is being lighter and more agile on my feet and in my body overall because I'm on my feet a lot at work. Also,…

Weekly weigh-ins for sure because I want to know how well I'm doing or if I need to cut back on food portions at a time when I can make changes that will produce positive effects that willl take effect in my body right away. That feedback is really helpful on a weekly basis.

I hear you. I especially hate cooking long meals. It helps to cook meals for the week on Sundays or on any other day that works well with your schedule. All the same, best wishes on your health journey!

Got down to 132 lbs. today, which is 5lbs. away from my goal weight. JFT: - Be grateful for successes of all kinds and in all sizes: I'm thankful for waking up more energized than I was yesterday; I'm thankful for being able to do a short session of jogging and calisthenics in the morning; and I'm thankful for being more…

Baked split chicken breast with bone and skin should give you 60g of protein for just roughly 550 calories to your diet. 8 oz wild salmon should give you 40 grams of protein for roughly 400 calories. Best wishes on your healthy journey!

I hear you on reducing alcohol intake. For me, even a 12 oz. can of Heineken interferes with my hunger cues. And the day after taking alcohol, I feel more hungrier inexplicably than normal. So yeah I haven't had alcohol since June 30, 2017. And even though it hasn't been that long, I'm realizing that I don't need to drink.

Mini goal: get lighter on my feet and keep improving on my calisthenics routine for more strength, flexibility, and overall agility, because I'm on my feet a lot at work.

1. Eat a well balanced meal with salmon (trying to get this in at least 2X a week) 2. Do routine 1 hour calisthenics workout 3. Walk more and drive less to get from one place to another 4. Be very thankful I made it through the day at peace with everything
