Thank you for all the wonderful replies, I guess recomp is the way to go for me. So if I understand correctly, I eat at maintenance (no deficit or surplus) and just do any kind of lifting program (or does it have to be specifically for recomp?)
-
Thanks for this very detailed reply. My goals are actually to get lean and lose body fat while gaining some muscle. The end goal is a slightly toned physique (nothing extreme or competitor level though), something like a swimmer's physique with perhaps slightly more muscle. Would a recomp be good for that?

Then it sounds perfect, I wish you a fast recovery!

Looks great! How visible will the scar be once it fully heals?
-
They sure are doozies hahah that is the point of this post though. What do you mean with ACV and rasberry ketones? xD
-
I do, though she likes to sleep in hahah
-
How much time do you spend for each (cycling and weights)?
-
My injury basically prevents me from running and doing any jumps or hops (anything that puts direct pressure on the hip)
-
A little update for you wonderful people: I did an 1.8 km run :) While I didn't manage to do it all in one piece (I took rests in between), the stabbing pain is gone. I took your advice and focused on properly breading, while also not eating before but rather after the run. While I did feel pain way higher than yesterday…
-
Thanks for all the tips guys, I'll deffinitelly try the breathing in the evening when I go for a run. Regarding water, I drink around 3L a day, evenly spread (so not all at once) so this shouldn't be an issue...
-
I wasn't at a shortage for breath though, the run was quite slow... can it hurt that extremely just becouse I don't breathe correctly?
-
Yeah it does, though what can I do to prevent them?
-
I don't think so, but I haven't paid attention to it to be honest. Probably not though...
-
Shouldn't stitches go away after a while?
-
I guess this is a big missconception then, but between my friends thaz DO go to the gym, I always hear them talking how they can't eat sugar, but they have one "cheat day" a week where they eat anything they want
-
So why do they say you should not eat sugar lifting weights? Is it any different when trying to gain muscles with body weight?
-
The question came up to me after reading a workout plan. It had a little diet section, with an example of a 85kg man. It said you needed around 170 g of protein, some carbs (think it was like 400 g) and at most 15g sugar a day. It seemed strange to me too, especially the last sentence that said not sticking to the diet…
-
I didn't mean exercise in general, I meant as in lifting weights. Should have formed it differently I guess.
-
I meant mostly gain muscle, if it's possible
-
it's the term the author uses for them in YAYOG.
-
Then how would you, for example, make the let me ups easier?
-
I need one that won't be too difficult, for example, I can't do the YAYOG. Not that I couldn't keep up, I legit can't do some of the exercises (let me ups) as I guess my muscles are just too weak.
-
I think I have read You are your own gym once before. It is the book right?
-
yeah, that was exactly my thought. I don't like gyms so exercising at home is the only option
-
mind sharing some with me? thanks
-
my doctor said it's okay if i do those, is the other stuff okay?
-
don't have any equipment to do that
-
Add me if you want, almost nice to have more buddies :)

Looking for some friends to keep us all motivated :)
