I used to ride with Giro but more recently prefer Kask...Protone is my current lid. Lime green, matches the bar tape on my road bike and Garmin watch strap.

Again OT, but here in the UK our postman (not mailman) may use a vehicle but only to get to the start of his/her round and then they walk - to the house, not a 'remote' mail box at the end of a driveway!!! Come rain or shine, they're out walking their deliveries door to door. Even if there's frost/ice/snow (I know that…

Congrats all and welcome LiLou. It only seems like yesterday that her big brother arrived.

Have you forgotten to remove one of your Halloween characters, or is that part of your day-to-day decor?

Just waiting to start the day...server is down at the moment! (and, yes, there is snow on the ground)

Well, from a couple of hours ago. Guess which way I'm riding!

Been a while since you have been about here.

Wouldn't you prefer to be kept in the dark about that?

Cycling (road), and especially up hills. Walking/Hiking. Photography - to please me but appreciate it if someone else likes the image. The ideal is cycling or walking and photography at the same time. Now much easier with the quality of smartphone camera quality improving - taking a DSLR on the bike is not so easy.

I think it does...a good 80Km ride 🤣🤣🤣

Not quite... Going down a hill, on the road, at 38mph when wheel wobble set in. Decision - come off on hard tarmac (pavement?) or go for the 'softer' grass verge. Took the latter approach. The bike went from 38mph to 0mph almost instantly. Result - I went over the top of the bars to land on my back. Double displaced…

Sorry Les, but you have a slight (but better) look of Dominic Cummings!

Stay safe? Well, 50 years later, I'm still here! Yes, plenty of back stories. Like celebrating my 14th birthday on the beach with my parents...only to suffer sunburn, which I had to endure for the next few days of my cycling vacation. Or the time I met up with some other youth hostellers...cycled to a not so nearby pub…

FTW, never try to get rid of your 'accent'. It is who you are! IMO, women (over generalising?) pick up new accents far more readily than men. I had an uncle who moved to the USA from the UK with his wife & young children. My aunt picked up the local accent (she's in Warwick, RI). My cousins are 'American'. My uncle never…

More than a few years back... I was just setting off for a 10 day cycling vacation staying in various youth hostels, aged 13 years, on my own. You wouldn't let your kids do that today.

Here's no. 1, after my mother's best efforts to 'kill it' (her words!) before giving it to me. ...and here it is a little over a month later.

Absolutely! Needs to get on the bike and burn some calories.

Alone? Yes. That's just the way it it! Isolation and (anti)social distancing create a state of being alone. Working at home is nothing new, but I now cannot see or touch (hugs matter). Just a literal state of 'alone'. C'est la vie! But, perhaps the more important question for me would be "Anyone feel lonely?". Loneliness…
