Burned 606 calories today in one hour of Orangetheory workout. First time ever burning over 600 calories in anything. I’m only celebrating this because to me this is an indication that my muscles are getting stronger! 💪😊

If I can offer an encouragement..we all hit a plateau. I've been at my plateau for a few months. I don't get discouraged because I remind myself that this plateau is way better than where I started at almost 200lbs and pre-diabetic. What works for me is making small changes and see what works. My latest small change is…

You bet it is buddy!!! =)

A bitter sweet NSV...I used to love shopping at Torrid (clothing for women/girls size 12-26+). Their clothing is soooooo cute. Alas, at size 8 now, I cannot shop there anymore. I will miss you Torrid. :'-( and

Wtg! So inspiring for you to take this step. =)

Another NSV update! So just this week I saw a huge shift in my strength and power--I've been able to lift more weight and do more reps and even in my overall cardiovascular endurance. I had plateaued not just in my weight but also in my fitness/workouts and then just this week...BOOM! Major shift! Just goes to show that…

Yay! Wtg! =)

I agree. Moderation. Not deprivation. You have a healthy mindset. Keep us posted. =)

Way to go! =)

What an amazing, inspirational journey! Thanks for sharing =)

Good job quark3!

Newest NSV: Today I achieved crow pose! Couldn't have achieved this last year (with my big belly in the way lol). I've gotten stronger and more flexible since starting this journey. =) Please share your successes--big or small--anything that you are proud of and let's celebrate you! =)

Thanks all for the words of encouragement :)

Had to replace my size 16 hiking pants with size 10 hiking pants last night. =)

Avocado. Actually, I halve the avocado and put a scoop of cottage cheese into the hole where the seed was. So, I guess it's actually an add-in to the avocado (sometimes sprinkle a little black pepper on top). Either way, I find it's delicious! Enjoy! =)

After taken the small steps and been successful. Reached a plateau now. Been teetering around the same weight for 4-5 weeks now. At a lost of what the next small or maybe even big step to take is. Would love some encouragement, support, suggestions, etc. Thanks for listening =)

Watched That Sugar Film a few days ago. A documentary of a man's journey to eat "healthy" foods. Very interesting and enlightening food for thought.

I'm still making incremental small changes such as decreasing the amount of total calories consumed per day. I was decreasing it by 25 calories every month until I reached 1800 calories/day. Now I'm decreasing it by 5 calories per day. This has helped me to stay on track and continue to drop pounds. So far, I'm down 44…

Hi MFPers in their 40's! I'm 41. I've dropped 44lbs since July 2017 and still on this journey to drop 16lbs more. Logging my food on MFP has helped me tremendously. Looking for like minded friends as well. Let's walk this road together! Please add me. =)

Wow! Inspirational! =)

Two new NSVs. First one, I'm ordering a bathing suit in size M that I had ordered last July in size XL! Second one is that I was upset last Thursday and wanted to emotional-eat but I didn't. In fact, I was still under my calorie goal when I completed my log in in the evening. In the past, I would have eaten emotionally…

I like to look for non-scale victories. Please continue to share yours. My lastest NSV...I rode in an airplanes over the holiday and didn't need to adjust (widen) the seat belt! In fact, one ride I had to make it smaller. =)

I've tried to lose weight before and always failed meaning I couldn't stick with it for even a day or I would reach my goal weight and gain it all back plus more. That is until now. I'm successful this time because I took on weight loss purely for health reasons and quality of life. I did not want to suffer from a life of…

Nice job!

Last time I posted here my mini-goal was increase workouts to 4-5 times/week and reach 170lbs. Update: I am working out 4-5 sometimes 6 times/week and I'm down to 163lbs. Next mini-goal is 160lbs and attaining less than a 35 inch waist (don't know what it is right now but I'll be measuring it in the next couple of days). =)
-
Latest NSVs: increased my workouts from 3-4 workouts/week to 4-5 sometimes 6 times/week; down from size 12/14 to 8/10; and even if I overindulge one day it's become so natural to get back on track the next day (which was never the case for me before) =)

This is awesome! Thanks for all the feedback and posts. =) My latest update is that I'm down 36 lbs, down from size 12/14 to size 8/10 and still continuing to eat healthy. No plans on stopping. It's become second nature to eat healthy with little sugar. And I've inspired people around me to start taking small actions to…
