  • I actually just started selling my clothes to thrift shops like Platos and Crossroads Trading. Either I'd end obtaining store credit for more clothes or I just kept the cash. Platos is pretty trendy and young adult - Crossroads is luxury wear like Chanel, LV, Prada, etc. More adult or Fashion Week.
  • So according to you Snickerscharlie- what is the solution to my plateau? Should I decrease my calorie intake as many articles suggested? Should I increase my calories? Please do tell me what I need to do.
  • Juice Cleanse is a pretty cut to the chase kickstart. You pay for it and you have 3 days to consume it or it goes bad. No if and /or butts. ljmorgi - lmaooooo Juicing can be done without any harmful side affects with you're taking the supplements you're not obtaining from the juices. Protein, fiber, B12, calcium, etc. Also…
  • Multiple studies by Proceedings of the Nutrition Society on juicing for the person that asked. Deficiency again being protein which can be easily adjusted with a high protein shake additionally and incorporation of vitamins. Every now and then I fall into a bad eating habits. (Vacation, work chaos, or just by association.)…
  • It's absolutely not meant to be long term. I just find it hilarious you all seem to presume you all eat healthy all the time. So all of you have never relapse with bad eating habits? You're all your appropriate BMI? Weight?
  • $100 is my average trip to Trader Joe's for 5 days worth of meal prep.
  • Again, you make it seem like a long term diet instead of a 3 day temporary regimen to push those with lack of will power. Are you seriously telling me that you've never fallen into an unhealthy eating pattern? Are you telling me you always had will power to stick to healthy foods and not once failed back into a bad eating…
  • I don't do a juice cleanse with any added supplements or ingredients. I purchase fresh juices hence why it's perishable with a 4 day lifespan at most. To maintain the fiber I drink carrot juice and take vitamins. It's simply a push. You spend $100 on juices that will perish in 4 days - there's absolutely no excuses on…
  • HCG was a diet I tried 2 years ago. I managed my weight at 155 lbs until as of recently. The juice cleanse I would do was a 3 day stint I did and still do once a year. Why? Because I either hit a plateau (like now) or I develop a bad eating pattern I know I shouldn't. The juice cleanse has never been intended on my behalf…
  • 3bambi3 - That's why I brought this diet up. There's mixed ramping of reviews on this diet. Many negative denouncing it because of calorie deficiency and others standing by it. Yes, my metabolism has been proven by doctors to be slow. I also have bowel issues due to a fiber dependency. I did this two years ago. Again, not…
  • I need to do this as a jump start. Why? Because if I go from eating high sodium foods or sugary foods and slowly ween in to healthier alternatives- I rarely stick to it. My mentality is : "I'll start it tomorrow." When you purchase and invest into 3 days worth of quickly perishable juices - there's no tomorrow. It's…
  • BZAH10 - Yes, for two years actually! I just gained it back a couple of months ago, but I was drinking ALOT. 3bambi3 - That was the thing with HCG. There's debate that HCG would trick the body into believing it was full without slowing the metabolism. My metabolism has always been slow and at my average 1,200 to 1,500…
  • I'm there with you!!! That's why I'm juicing for three days. I read that I need to either consume a lower amount of calories or higher amount to trick the body. I opted for lower instead before back to meal prep. I have increased my workout regime so I'm optimistic it's because of that. A girl can hope :p
  • HCG diet is banned? There's many doctors here in CA that actually revolve their business around it. Doctor definitely provided HCG injections. I did my research prior to doing this diet and the doctor. Extremely controversial, but didn't really see negative side effects. My energy levels were good. I only had trouble…
  • Vodka seems to be average of 60-70 calories a serving. Champagne at 90-100 calories. But I think you're biggest challenge will be the chaser, not the liquor itself. Were you planning on diet soda?
  • I highly recommend not going past 5 days. I do a juice cleanse once a year. 5 days was the longest I've done and won't do again. You need energy and without the adequate nutrition you'll loose : sleep, focusing, endurance. I don't recommend more than 3 days. If you're on a budget and love Target - try Suja. Pressed Juicery…
  • I'm actually in the same boat. Really considering in Flavor God seasoning to spice up boring chicken, veggies and brown rice/quinoa.
  • Ninerbuff- you're on point. I found myself attracted to men that take charge and are career driven. The absolute contrary to my father though. But both traumatic relationships resulted in a sudden shift in personalities that I had unforeseen. My mistake was to move in quickly with one of them. The first traumatic…
  • I actually believe alcohol attributed to my 15lb weight gain. I was eating about the same for the exception of my drinking. I did HOWEVER go out drinking on Sunday. I lost 6 pounds that night. My skin looked fabulous too, BUT it was obviously dehydration. As soon as I drank a couple of cups of water it was back up 6 lbs…

  • Buy some cocoa powder or use chocolate protein powder. Blend with almond milk (preferable) or coconut milk, ice and an additional low calorie sweetener and make a sorbet! (I use Splenda or 5 calorie aguave syrup) So delish!
  • My anemia made me very sleepy and consistently cold. I developed it when I became bulimic years ago. I overcame my bulimia and my anemia hasn't returned. The blood test is quick. Maybe suggest to your doctor if B12 vaccines would help significantly?
  • Thanks Tcunbeliver! I have considered returning to a therapist. Believe it or not, this is my second traumatic relationship. 5 years ago, I had a boyfriend commit suicide when he was on the phone with me. I'm quite unlucky in the love department. Haha. So much negative feedback on juicing. Noooo! I secretly love my…
  • JeromeBarry1 - We lived together for two years. He was pretty great the first two years. He'd mention my weight very subtlety the first year living together, but be very considerate in doing so. As of late last year, he just transformed into this horrible person. With my 15lb weight gain came the lack of remorse in…
  • Find something that make you commit. Find hacks to your weaknesses. I'm the same way. I hate exercising so I hired a personal trainer. With my money at risk - I committed with a push. I have friends who don't have money for a trainer so they joined a gym called "The Camp" which takes a $500 deposit and pushes you to loose…
  • Congrats on the weightloss! My goal is 135 to be at a healthy weight for my height. My highest weight has been 210. I was 155lb in March, but now 170lbs ): Did you have any skin removal surgery?
  • I pull apart my food to feel like a serving is bigger than it is so I feel full faster. If I eat a pizza slice, a burger, a burrito, etc. I just pull it apart into small pieces and usually end up not finishing the whole thing. It really helped me loose a lot of weight. People look at me weird, but I don't care now. It's…
  • When I have an urge to binge - I try to low calorie it too! Have you tried healthy noodles? It's like soy based noodles that are only 50 calories for a WHOLE packet. Super low carb non-fat. They sell it at Costco so I make spaghetti out of it :p
  • Thanks Rheddmobile! I considered my dogs like my children so I've had a really hard time letting go of them. Luckily, as awful as he was to me- he always treated our dogs like they were his kids. So I feel comfortable with the decision I had to make in not fighting for them.
  • Meeee! :)
