We’re you measuring your heart rate initially or is this a new thing? When I first started 5kms my heart rate would fly up into the 180’s (occasionally 200’s) and I would genuinely feel crap after, I’d have to sleep/nap straight away but that’s part and parcel of my medical conditions so for me it was normal. However the…

After finding half my friends have been inactive for several months I’m looking to add some more active ones. I’m female, in my 30’s and from the uk and my log streak is about 230

Sounds like you’re ready to commit, feel free to add me
-
I’m sure you can do it, feel free to add me

Hi, can you do any upper body exercises like a hand rower, small dumbbells? I’m not supposed to exercise without a first aider beside me (exercise causes an anaphylactic reaction) and I have other health issues but I adapt things to help me on days when I feel more able

The simple fact that you’ve noticed an unhealthy relationship with food/diet should spur you into seeking professional support. Someone with understanding of restrictive food intake or orthorexia would be one of your best bets. There could even be support available at your uni. Good luck with it.

1-1 2km 2-1 3.2km All this cake talk isn’t good, I’m in the middle of making a chocolate birthday cake with caramel buttercream and the warm caramel is calling to me 😋

I used to do it daily (for a week) at the same time of day to get an average weight, but I haven’t bothered to weight myself in months

Chronic migraines is one of my conditions so I know how you feel with them, I’m at the stage of having Botox every 12 weeks to try gain control

Hi there, I know how your feeling. I’m also immunosuppressed and have been for two years now. The drugs work for the most part in controlling my symptoms but the added side effects aren’t too good. Recently this year we’ve had to add in random losses of consciousness to my what feels like never ending list of illnesses and…

I’m in, I’m going for 31km this month one for each day of Jan. I have a chronic illness which means I’m ill for a good two thirds of each month but I also know I can get in a good 5km on a good day so I think it’s pretty feasible.

I think participation trophies work for much younger age brackets to get them into new activities (as confidence boosters), you said little league but I’m U.K. based so have no idea how old that is, personally I think by the age of 5-6 a child no longer needs a badge/trophy/merit for simply turning up. However I have three…

Ok, I’ll try this challenge, I’m only going to aim for the 24 and hope I manage to fit in more along the way

I have exercise induced anaphylaxis and the inability to listen to when I know I should stop (I always think just a little bit more), I’ve nearly died from it a few times, the likelihood is that’s going to be the thing that take me out

To get it to register steps done on your watch, go into the mfp app and then go to three dots at the bottom as if you were going to the community pages, scroll down to steps and change your step count to watch instead of phone. Which watch are you using? My original series 1 watch was a pain for not syncing properly…

Pots is something I’m being tested for, after multiple occasions of getting up or having been stood cooking just to lose consciousness completely or partially. My resting bp is typically mid 60’s and on standing jumps to the mid 110’s, highest we’ve registered was 203 when I got straight up from being laid in bed to let…

I asked a similar question on my own status today. I’ve noticed a massive difference between the calculations of my Apple Watch (series 3) and the mfp, eg yesterday I went hiking for 69 mins, my watch tracks my heart rate throughout and only calculated 198 of active calories, the same amount on mfp gives 508 cals for 69…

I’ve met one other person before with exercise induced asthma but no one else with my condition. Something as simple as a 5-10min warm up can trigger anaphylaxis, so somedays it’s worth risking others it isn’t and you just play it by ear.
-
I’m allergic to exercise (carry epi pens) also have allergic reactions to water. Great fun when I go swimming
-
They tested me for possible food allergies that could be triggering it but since nothing showed up and I can exercise after a 12 hour fast and still go into anaphylaxis when exercising, it’s not fun. Well done on your loss too

Wow, keep going, I hope by New Year’s Eve you’ve hit your goal
