When drug use begins to interfere with literal survival skills (eating, sleeping, etc) then you need to start making bigger decision in your life than "what to eat?"

I switched to an elliptical in my basement with a TV. No more boredom or dealing with the weather.

As everyone states, nuts are great but seriously, who eats a handful of something. I keep them in my desk draw so that if I don't feel full after a meal, I can munch on a few.

This is not true. Guiness has less calories than budweiser. Color means nothing. Source: I am a former brewer

Considering how destructive it is to the environment, wildlife, and natives of southest Asia. I avoid it...let alone the nutritional reasons.

Good coffee is good coffee. Drink it black like the rest of us coffee lovers. 3 cups a day.

Cold turkey plus gum. You are only a year in. Look at some of the posters who did it for decades. Get it out.

I live on diet ginger ale. No calories, no sugar. About 4 a day, then seltzer to fill the rest. I just need something carbonated. Lost a ton and maintained for years.

Mine has a calories burned...I don't follow the number or trust it, but its a good gauge of intensity.

Alcohol, cheese and sugar

I do 10k easy during my day. Then a 30 minute cardio on an elliptical. Some days I get close to 20K

After I gave up alcohol, I've noticed I am getting close to my lowest weight ever (a weight that was not healthy on mean.) I need to up my calories to replace the 400-800 I had a day.

People realize that most larger organic farms douse the soil with pesticides days before planting, then plant. They can call it pesticide free legally at this point. Source: Knows farmers. Farmers aren't praying that little insects don't eat them into bankruptcy. They are actively doing something about it.

I, unfortunately, have a lot of experience with this. First, alcohol most likely is not why we gain weight. Its the foods we eat when we drink. I lost 60 pounds drinking a 6-pack a night. I just never ate after dinner, only drank. I also kept my beers in the basement by the workout equipment. A beer cost me 50 push ups,…

Yeah, its was actually close to 70 but I went WAY to far with exercise and diet. I got way too skinny, borderline unhealthy look. Packed on another 10 in muscle. I personally avoid "diets" and just try and eat healthy. For me its chicken, salads, beans, veggies, veggies, did I mention veggies, zero calorie diet ginger…

Nighttime. I don't really watch TV and after my cardio session, I can lift weights in my bedroom and do sit-ups/push ups/IT. Unless something needs fixing in the house, I'm basically free after my kid goes to bed.

3-4 years. Dropped 60 pound initially. That was a little too much and put 10 pounds of muscle back on. Love it. After a while, you will build up the mental stamina and willpower to not even be concerned with the tail end of a fast. Knowing you are eating the correct calorie count and nutrients helps as well.

I don't get the flu shot...not for any particular reason, just never have. I also forgot my internet pitchfork so I feel I can not participate in this thread.

I think diets are a joke and have been hijacked into a business. Don't diet, it always ends. Change your life and habits. Its harder at first but easier the rest of your life.

2 cucumbers. Yummy. Nothing more is needed.

Daily weigh in. Does help to see how foods and liquid affect you personally.

I'm more concerned with health than weight/looks. I am constantly pestering my wife to eat better. If she loses weight or gets "fitter," great. But I want her healthy.

So glad I'm reading about others not liking avocado. I can eat almost anything but there is just something about the flavor and texture that gets to me.

Unfortunately, its sad when you learn the % of kids that aren't getting any breakfast or dinner so I agree

Gum instead of smoking. Smoking was a HUGE part of my appetite control when I first started getting healthy years ago. Except I couldn't say I was healthy as a smoker. Replace and move on.

I'll just say 2 things: 1. I think seeing the trees and not the forest on this issue. Eat healthy, make good choices. You will turn out fine. Picking over labels with a fine-tooth comb is not going to make or break your health in the end. 2. As someone who knows several farmers, they tell me time and time again that unless…

As a teacher and parent, I'd like to first say that childhood obesity is a serious issue in america. Kids DO NOT have the cognitive ability to make healthy choices at a young age, this is a fact. I don't see an issue with this, I don't allow cookies/junk food in my room for snacks anyway, just give the healthy option. But…

I am at my optimal fit weight and lost about 4 inches of my waist. I do a pretty crazy ab workout, cardio and weights. Unfortunately, some of this in genetics. I am very skinny, have the outer "lines" of a six pack stomach but I'd have to go insane to actually get six pack abs. The first place my fat goes is my belly, then…

Free up that room, you and your closet can lose weight together!
