Maybe a less restrictive diet would be better for your lifestyle? I couldn't keto, because it was impossible for me to restrict to that level - I also get catered lunches a lot at work, travel often (for work and pleasure), and have an active social life. It just didn't work for me. But I'm doing great on LCHF keeping…

My office has a bowl of all the yummy fun size candy (both chocolate candies and gummies/sugar candies) out in the lobby for guests (and employees) ALL the time. We also have a snack closet filled with free snacks for employees - chips, pretzels, trail mix, clif bars, luna bars, other kinds of bars. Really, you name it.…

I love it because it's not too sweet! Its the only thing I drink besides water and black coffee. I HATE sweet drinks, they make me sick just thinking about it. They also have free la croix at my office which is great. I probably have a can once a month when I'm in the mood

I second the "you're not burning 500 calories" train. I used to be around your size (I have since gained 25 pounds), but when I attended workout classes the trainer would say "you're burning 500-750 calories easily!", probably doing the mental math for a larger woman or a man, but the time I wore a HR monitor I found I was…

One tip that helps me when I travel is to hit up a grocery store for some standard high protein breakfasts (hard boiled eggs, cheese, maybe oatmeal if that's your thing). I'm all about enjoying food and soaking up the culture, but a croissant or pastry every morning wasn't doing me any favors filling me up for the…

I do the Kayla Itsines BBG which combines cardio and strength - stuff like burpees, jump sqats, etc. that are good for endurance and conditioning. Personally, I feel better after combined boot camp style workouts like that

2400 calories seems high for someone who's not exercising and trying to lose 80 pounds. What are your stats?

Omg, do NOT get halo top on your vacation! Halo top is "OK" at best. Treat yourself to real food.

Checking in for week 6 full body. Halfway done the first guide! I'll admit, my results are not what I would have liked. I'm also dieting, and I've lost a total of 4 pounds in these 6 weeks. I'm extremely short, so weight is definitely noticable on me and it's very difficult for me to lose. I am aiming to lose another 25-30…

For me, my weight gain started when I started training for a half marathon. I had maintained a weight of about 130-135 for about 9 years before I was increased my running. For me it wasn't like a logging issue or a "weighing my food" thing, it was a real hunger issue. If I didn't eat big dinners after long runs I would…

You don't need to take it easy on the ibuprofen. Continue to take it if it makes you feel better. When you get better the water weight will fall off. Weight loss isn't linear.

Breakfast: String cheese and a Trader Joe's "Just a handful of nuts" package Lunch: We had a monthly team lunch at chick fil a. I got a cobb salad and didn't add the toppings and was super light on the dressing (fat free honey mustard), and had 3 of the "nuggets for the table" my boss brought over Dinner: tonight I'm…

Lucky!! I love spin but I've never tried soulcycle. I know I would love it. I know you're just starting, but do you see a big difference between 2.0 and 1.0?

This makes a lotta sense - just gotta keep getting into this mindset. I really liked some of the suggestions and will definitely try them, especially the one to add unsweetened applesauce and cutting the honey in half and the ones to try a strong maple syrup so I need to use less. I'm getting 4 servings from 2 lbs of…

checking: Mon: Week 6 legs Tues: 45 minute incline walk at 3.5 MPH on a treadmill Today: Week 6 arms and abs on the schedule Anyone else struggling with all the jumping exercises as the guide progresses?

Thanks for the suggestions - I forgot to mention - I don’t eat artificial sweeteners - they don’t agree with my stomach

I also mostly estimate and have had success doing so. I've started weighing when something is calorie dense and easy to weigh (i.e. nuts or nut butters). If something is equal to or less than 1 calorie per gram it's too tedious for me. Also, the first week I got my scale I started weighing everything besides veggies and…

How much do you weigh and how much do you have to lose?

I didn't do snack foods before and I don't do snack foods now, so no difference there (once in a while I'd get some individually packaged yogurts for a treat), but I DID buy rice, pasta, etc, usually in bulk. I used to buy 1-2 "proteins" a week and now I buy 3-4. I go though my freezer chicken breasts much faster because…

I tried the queso soup tonight! Omg sooooo good! I topped it with 50g of avocado and 25g of mozzarella cheese. A comforting delicious 500 cal 10 net carb bowl!

Berries (especially raspberries) are great because you can munch on them endlessly and not set yourself back too much in terms of calories, these are great for volume eaters. Plus with a little whipped cream is one of my favorite desserts (regardless of dieting - just so good!) Bananas are great for fueling a workout, and…

If you follow kayla on FB or instagram, you can see she says week 9 legs is her hardest workout! So good for you getting through it

Today - drink a lot of water, eat a simple low-cal high fiber day (expect to be a little hungry, be ok with it), weigh tomorrow and deal with it. Being scared of the scale is a good way to lose progress. It'll come off and you'll feel more confident next time a special occassion comes up (vacation, wedding, etc.)

Glad to see some more ricotta appreciation! A fav quick meal of mine is a few costco meatballs heated up with 1/4 cup ricotta cheese and 1/2 cup Rao's tomato sauce. So good!

Checking in for week 5 arms and abs (last night), and planning to do week 5 full body tonight

Is Pho typically a high calorie meal? This is the type of thing I don't feel like I need a substitute for....

Checking in for week 5 legs

Right now I typically do 15% carbs/25% protein/60% fat. I am not sure if I'm in ketosis most days, but this is super sustainable for me I basically got here by trying to eat as low carb as possible where I still felt comfortable and didn't feel like i was limiting most veggies (no potatoes). Some days I was lower, but…

Rao's makes really good tomato sauces that's decent for low carb lifestyles!

OP I totally know what you mean. There are some girls who seem to constantly be going out and stay super thin. Besides the comments on drinking vodka and no-calorie mixers (which is what I do), I've found that there are two strategies that work for me: - Limiting the frequency of going out, and enjoying myself. I'll skip…
