I have one once in a while. Maybe 48 oz a week. Drs state that it increases your appetite and suppresses your metabolism. I personally have not experienced those effects at all.

As long as your metabolism burns more than 1500 including your exercise/activities. You need a deficit of calories ingested vs calories burned. Simple formula. Remember not to starve yourself though.
