As a department head overseeing 13 managers and 200 employees this is unacceptable. But it is hard to do more than talk with the manager for hints. This may make your situation worse going over their head. You need to say something to them, calmly and respectfully. Which I know is hard, considering this should not even be…

I would take her in for a "check up" they automatically weigh them and get their height. Don't tell her she is being taken in for her weight. As a kid who was put on diets it is the worst feeling. Keep as much junk food as possible out of the house. I understand if she takes her lunch to school to have a treat just make…

Maybe doing this will give you the kick in the butt you need.

I just plan on pouting in the corner. Lol

I too had auiditory hallucinations. The first three years after my breakdown I was inpatient 11 times.. so I know the pain and frustration.. if you need to talk send me a friend request.

PS... If you're not already seeing a therapist I highly recommend it. Just make sure it is one that deals with Bipolar. I and my wife go and it has helped tremendously. Learning to recognize episodes coming on has helped me, and when I am going through a mood and am being a jerk my wife and I have learned to table any…

I was on Zyprexa and gained a ton. I am finally after years only on Depakote and a low dose of Seraquil. The more weight I lost the better my bipolar meds worked. I even am now taking a much lower dose. When I get a really bad manic episode I have to up my Seraquil to 400mg for a couple days and that dose causes me to gain…

Relion Prime from Walmart 18$ for a two pack of 50 test strips and you can test using your arm. I prick right above my wrist no more sore finger tips..

Take your time and do this right, they are always hiring..

As far as restricting foods bad idea cause eventually you will end this as a "diet" and revert to your old eating habits and gain it back. That is why it is important to count calories eat anything you want just stay within your daily calories. Over time you will learn about foods and it will be easier to pick foods you…

Type your stats into MFP. This will give you a good idea about the calories no you should eat daily. The more weight you want to lose per week the less calories they will give you. It is great you have your measurements. I highly recommend counting calories. I see people doing tons of cardio and lifting but not getting…

Every stating I tried seriously raised my liver enzymes.

Yes, for me fruits caused my BS to spike more then carbs.

The thing I deal with after lossing nearly 100 pounds is I still at times see the 350 pound person in the mirror. Yes my clothes are lose, my lab tests are better, wife says she notices especially in my face but I do not. It is all in my head and I know that but knowing that still doesn't always make me feel good about the…

No I am not on Keto. I have worked with a registered dietician who was able to help me find the foods that were causing the spikes. Mostly fruits and the regular stuff. My Dr said that combined with the weight loss we're all factors. I still enjoy sweets on occasion and my blood sugar levels stay under 150.

No I got past the guilt thing awhile ago since it usually ended with me totally falling off the wagon. The urgency was my body calling me a jacka**

Thank you, I went many years ignoring my health issues. Since getting my sugar under control my energy level is up. My mental medications are actually working at far lower doses taking along with some of the side effects the had due to the dosage amounts.

At this point learn what calories are actually in what you are eating. This is what helped me the most. Go on Instagram and search calories and weight loss subjects. There are a lot of great photos and posts showing things like that morning cup of coffee from Starbucks is 500 calories if not more. I use to think I was…

At some point for me it will no longer be about weight alone but overall health. That unlike your weight that you can get to never ends and will also help you maintain the weight you be want

I too am at times a stress or bored eater. What has helped me besides time is getting those individual bags of bar-b-que chips. I get my little fix and when the bag is gone it is gone otherwise I could easily eat a entire family size bag watching television and not even realize it.
-
No we can't. . LoL

I really think you hit the nail on the head as far as remembering her patients. Whenever I get blood work done I always get a copy of the results for my own records and look them over. And thank you
-
I do and then reminder her my A1C use to be in the 9.5 to 10 range and is now a healthy 6.3 last time or there about. I no longer use insulin daily still take Metformin though and a month or so back on my last blood work my cholesterol was a little high for my liking but have since learned being on MFP and lossing a bit…

Try doing this in a house with four kids a wife a mother-in-law who all enjoy treats and do not deal with a weight issue as I do. My two younger ones bring those packages of six Oreos to school daily. I will not lie I have stolen a package or two but regret it. I mean it is 320 kcals and six doesn't even really fix the…

I agree a doctor you visit once maybe twice a year should address it. I see mine every three months for my A1C check up and the odd visit for a illness. I have lost 95 lbs or so since starting to see her mind you it has taken years to do so as I will often maintain after lossing to avoid my old pattern of dropping 40 in…

For me I have a lot of weight to go so I still see pretty steady progress biweekly. Also I go to my doctor every three months for blood work and I enjoy seeing my numbers get better each time. The big one is I want to go to my son's school events without feeling he will be teased for having the fat dad. Kids are evil at…
-
Yeah you have too at this point in my new way of eating. I am going to do the nightly weight but only update my progress on MFP weekly. I still need that kinda daily reminder if I see that scale hitting the upper 250's regularly that I need to go revisit my food journal.
-
I have two different ones I have gotten from MFP and they are different by about 200 kcals. So it can be a bit frustrating I just go with the lower and monitor my progress.
